I was in Coles this morning and found this deal. I don't know if it's a nationwide deal or just local. From the validity date of the promotion, it seems like a nationwide promo. Others may confirm.

    Very clear photo!
Really brings out the grime on that shelf.

Cheap, but unfortunately these machines suck - had two of these for 12+ months, got about 6 months of use out of them before both started putting granules into each cup of coffee made … ended up using 2-3 capsules for every one cup of drinkable coffee (not to mention the leaking both machines experienced).

Have since purchased an Aldi coffee machine - the Aldi one leaves this one for dead … the Espressotoria puts very little water pressure through the capsule (and only has tiny plastic piercing prongs that go into the capsule. The Aldi one has big chunker metal piercing barbs, and enough pressure to imprint the bottom of their capsules with the interal moulding design (plus their capsules contain filters, whereas the Espresstoria's dont - which is one of the reasons granules leak out).

The variety of available flavours isn't very wide either, plus the capsules tend to be quite expensive and rarely on special. Comments about leaks from the unit and granules in the coffee are also true, though some are worse than others and some machines have no issues at all. (nobody I've spoken to who had issues had any problems getting a swap or refund either)

Not a great coffee machine, but at this price it's one of the cheapest you'll come across.

  • Available at Livingstone store Canning Vale WA

  • Can anyone confirm that this supports the Aldi pods?

    • I remember reading online somewhere yonks ago that they did, but having tested this myself, Aldi pods are too big for this machine now.

Why don't people just make it properly with a real machine?

      30 seconds versus 15 minutes.

      • I see. Never owned one. What about the clean up? Expensive way to get an inferior cup! Would rather do the extra..

        • Cleanup is empty the capsule bin and occasionally put the removable parts through the dishwasher.

I don't disagree that capsules provide inferior more expensive coffee, but is quicker and easier than instant coffee.

        • @mathew42: Ok that makes sense. I use a stove top device that takes about 5 minutes including clean up. I can now see how busy people would prefer this capsule unit.

  • It's coming up to Mothers Day and that means all these pod machines will be about $50.

Two years ago I got a Nescafé Dolce Gusto for work and last year got one for my wife. Got them for $49 each. Have proved to be very reliable and easy to use.
