Equivalent to US10 and US11 respectively.
I believe with Nike, you generally fit one size larger.
wrong in general statement, but with nike roshe's i find that i need to size up (so I'm normally a 9US, with roshe's i go up to a 9 1/2 or a 10)
The sizing for men so is a women's us11 the same as a men's us9 looking at the size chart it's very close?
women's US11 is a men's US10

Are the shoes tight as I was told some of the nike running shoes run quite small?
Nike is a one of the narrowest fit you can get in terms of a sport shoe brand so that's probably why people would go up in size for these.
If they are made out of the mesh then they are quite accomodating and fit true to size.
Not to mention they're also womens shoes so they most likely have a B width (standard for women) where as mens shoes normally have a D width. Just something to keep in mind

it is more shades of pink than red.
