Or pay $100 more for the 15" version with an i7.

    • And Win 10 Pro instead of Home

And 4% CashRewards for another $50 off, so it's really an extra $50 for the bigger screen.

      • It's $100 extra for Pro.

Meaning $200 extra for the i7 with Win 10 Pro

      • $47.23 cash rewards to be exact (I just bought one).

  • EDIT: Beaten to it.

  • How would you rate this thing is it worth the bucks? Could I get something just as good for under 1k?

  • I bought last year's model - Win8, previous i5 processor, larger hybrid drive. Very happy with it. Does this one have a stylus?
I've been looking at 13" laptops since, and none match all the features, esp FHD touchscreen.
    Here's my coupon:

    • The 15's and 17's had a stylus when we looked at them. From what I could see it was due to free space inside to house the stylus. Not active though, so the same as one of those cheapy ipad ones from ebay.

  • After dealing with 200 of the Inspiron 13 3000 series (granted, the lowest spec of the Inspiron - 3000,5000,7000), I would heavily recommend against these.

Very flimsy, fragile and troublesome. Ours have spinning rust drives, so they are slow to boot, and the ribbon cable between the mainboard and the daughterboard for cmos, wireless, charger and power button regularly comes undone.

Awesome specs, but definitely keep these things in mind, and if possible, get extra warranty…

  • Does anyone have any relevant knowledge/reviews of these laptops? I've heard from a variety of sources that the Inspiron 13 7000 series is quite apart from the 3000/5000, and that build quality in this model is actually decent.

    • Bought this yesterday so had a bit of a play last night. Build quality is above average, and feels solid considering the weight. Screen is good, touch is good. Trackpad isn't the best I've used (I prefer having seperate buttons) but I think I'll get used to it.

I haven't experience with the lower level Dell models so can't comment on the quality difference.

First thing I tried install was Chrome and I kept getting an "unexpected error" message, but eventually it just worked so not sure what the problem was there.

Overall decent 2 in 1, happy with my purchase.

  • Yeah just watched some reviews on YouTube and most the reviews are solid

  • Is there any way to push for a further discount? As in bargain down from the $1498, and then pull out the $300 off at the end? The T&Cs say off the 'ticketed price'

  • Paid for $1198 yesterday. Quite happy about the specs and performance.
