The assembled system warranty is 1 year - the balance of manufacturer part warranty still applies to each part after that. We can also assist with liaising with the manufacturers where it's required - some brands allow customers to go direct, some don't.

      • Hey Luke

Thanks for your help with some of the sales order enquires I had for my prior PC purchase

Just wondering if you can help the support team reply to my PC build issue - I've followed their steps to confirm the issue (provided screenshots and reinstalled hardware / updated drivers and retested exactly per instructions) but they haven't got back yet , shouldn't be much further that they need to confirm a return / swap

        Cheers

Yeah you guys swapped out a GPU for me on an out of warranty system back during COVID when GPUs were impossible to find. Gave me the option of going through the warranty and getting the exact same brand back, or having a different brand from your stock of the same specs, there and then. Really couldn't fault the service, and gladly took the offered GPU there and then rather than waiting months for RMA and warranty to go through with the manufacturer.

Actually there is, this price includes assembly, testing, delivery and warranty all for (significantly) less than PCPP prices. Buy the bits yourself but you won't get a better deal than buying from a builder like TF, BPC or Nebula.

      • +1

Doesn’t include delivery but I do see your point.

    • ahahahahahahahaha

in my teens i spent several years as a 'computer tech' at a pc store….built countless PCs during my time doing that…
recently bought all new components myself due to wanting specific parts and look etc… spent like 3hours+ putting it together i reckon….partly coz im old…and partly coz i was so paranoid of breaking something after not putting a system together for 20 years

time spent building something is a thing which many dont consider then doing this 'buy your own parts is cheaper' comment.

booted up first time and runs like a dream so for me time….decently spent haha

Love building and messing with PC's, done it all my life. But I am old like you now, and man is it nice for the fiddly bits to be someone else's problem haha

        • +2

          And cable management!

    • +1

Not sure why people are so focused on warranties in Australia. We have some of the best consumer laws around, and they are relatively cheap and easy to enforce if you have to twist a retailer’s arm.

In many cases it’s much quicker to hit up the manufacturer for a solution directly, as they can do swaps and repairs in house without having to ship back and forth between the retailer, which can add multiple weeks to a repair.

Remember that any warranty offered by any manufacturer or retailer is in addition to your ACL rights. Some warranties are excellent, others aren’t worth the paper they are written on.

Any chance for a 9070xt option Luke?

    • +1

      Looking into it

  • +8

Decent deal but should use 80+ Gold PSU in high-end system like this. It's not like price difference between Gold and Bronze is in hundreds.

    • +3

Also using trash tier motherboards that have terrible VRMS, and heatsinks that will thermal throttle and then only option to upgrade is $240, when they could be using a much better board such as the MSI B650M gaming plus wifi which isn't much more expensive and has a better power design and proper heatsinks.

      • What are you on about mate? This mobo is more than enough for a 9800X3D

        • +5

I know exactly what im on about mate. It's a trash tier motherboard that uses a 5+5+2 power delivery system.

Don't take my word for it then, here is a comparable gigabyte motherboard with the same 5+5 power delivery system.

          https://youtu.be/naX-DnKekCM?=572

To quote hardware unboxed. "it's very trash tier so you'll want to avoid it".

          • +1

@Austrian Oak: Ahh rightio, my bad I was getting it mixed up with the Gigabyte Gaming X AX version

            • +2

@jk82: Yeah the names and sheer number of models is plain stupid so hard to keep track of. I mean this is the "plus" model which looks to have a nicer heatsink but same VRMs. 9800X3D is also technically easier to run than 7950X so should be fine. But unless the price difference in major they really shouldn't offer clearly inferior products when we are most likely talking $30

    • +1

Agreed. 750W bronze will be fine, but since good PSUs last a decade or two, I tend to want to just get an overkill one. Saves power too if it's running at 60% load all the time.

  • Are there likely to be any 5080 or 5090 deals this month?

    • +5

      Yep

      • I shall keep a close watch then!

  • What's the go for installing Windows on these things? Don't want to waste the extra $100 or so getting the home edition if there is an easier way.

    Excuse my tech illiteracy.

    • +6

download widows to usb stick, follow install prompts, then search massgravel

    • Install windows normally, then activate with massgrave

    • tech fast pc comes with linux mint and they have installation files already downloaded on the pc so u just need a pen drive

Any chance of another ITX deal? Keen to buy a budget option for living room gaming

    • +1

Looking at that more closely next year probably. We're moving to larger premises shortly so will have more space for holding more variety.

  • +10

    Where is he?

    • +5

I dunno but he'll get downvoted to oblivion on this one. It's a banger deal.

    • +5

Looks to have got himself in the penalty box

    • -1

He's copped a ban it seems. Sad day, he'll be back.
I love judging my purchases on his word tbh.

      • Yeah, his comments with no basis in reality and his ability to not supply any proof or links is a huge benefit to the community lmao

        • +1

He’s saving everyone money by dissuading them from ever buying anything with prices he hallucinates up like an AI chatbot.

    • In Penalty Box. Expiry: 23/10/2025 - 14:44
Last Seen 2 hours 37 min

      • He’s probably rolling in his box at not being able to trash talk another PC build

  • Hi Luke. Bought a PC a few years ago from you and really happy! Looking to upgrade, just waiting for the 5080ti or super to come out. Want more Vram for future proofing. As soon as they release and you drop one with a 9800x3d I'm there :)

  • Previous generation you would be able to get a 4080 gpu for $2kish… Now $2.4k only gets a 5070ti.

  • +1

Order placed! Can't wait to receive legends! @techfast

  • Is motherboard worth upgrading? I’m not planning to overclock

  • Is the extra $100 worth it for 9800 vs 7800 cpu in the other deal?

  • Bought an RTX 3080 from Luke awhile back and was very appreciative of assistance with manufacturer part warranty for a defective PSU years after. Looking forward to upgrading to an RTX 5090 Ryzen 7 9800X3D once a deal comes up.
