7500F-5070-SEPT9800X3D-5080-SEPT

Howdy folks, back with more September bangers including the hugely popular pairing of the Ryzen 5 7500F and RTX 5070. As you might have seen B650 is approaching the end of a very solid production run, so are becoming harder to get a hold of and prices are rising. We've still managed to hit an all-time low price for the combo and secured the Maxsun Challenger B650M WiFi for this deal. We're still offering the Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi, and you should upgrade to this board if you're looking to upgrade to a larger case that features USB-C on the front IO, as it has the required header.

On another supreme combo, the 9800X3D and RTX 5080, we've upped the storage to 2TB and kept the price locked at $2888.

Both builds again come with Borderlands 4 while the promo runs until September 23rd. Borderlands 4 promo has ended

It would be, yep. Would be at $999 too. But some things are possible, and some things are not.

        • +8

          Key word: "been"

You might not know what prices are now. They change every week.

            • +3

@marshmall0w2: When their cost increase by 4.4%, they would probilily need to increase sales <30% to make up the difference in profit. What you suggest is definitely doable maybe even a great idea if there are heavy competition but there is no incentive for business to offer best or better when they can get away being slightly better than the competition

              • -5

@Xukeepa: There's a reason I'm not saying their 9800X3D 5080 deals are bad. But there is a very good reason I'm telling them to pair 5070s and 9070 XTs with 7700 instead. It's because it'll actually be a good deal.

            • +7

@marshmall0w2: Why do you hurt my brain in a bad way. You've got the jv swag but none of the ass meat. Can't even look at your comments because they have no substance

              • -3

@GrumpyGandalf: Can't be bothered to write a 5th grader essay on every post with proper APA references. Best just say "bad deal" and let others decide for themselves whether to trust me or not based on their own research and past experience.

                • +8

@marshmall0w2: You are speaking fart air out of your face there is still absolutely no substance

                  • -2

@GrumpyGandalf: No substance in that I referenced 7500F and 7700 prices and saying that it'd be a great deal to pair 5070s and 9070 XTs with 7700 rather than a 7500F and that it's realistic to do so? Yeah indeed. Should've just kept to my signature "bad deal"

No, they should trust people who post links to back up their claims. Have you not been paying attention? This is what people are after.

Ah well, people can't always have what they want. They can neg me oh well to me too. I'm not writing a huge link essay with every comment. But one thing that happens is people read my comment and can relate and think "I'm not the only who thinks this is a bad deal right?"

Precisely my point. I've done actual link comparisons over my 1600+ comments. The fact that it seems to me that to you I don't seem to have ever done it at least once, is why I can't be bothered to keep doing it.

What was very clearly meant was that you were saying you had "real folks who know what you're about" (this is what you called them). I was saying that you don't have supporters, nor do you have "real folks who know what you're about" on this site. You have neither, despite what they're called, you only have people who are repeatedly pointing out how embarrassing your claims are, and how bad you are at making them

      • Could you make this deal AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RTX 5080 Desktop PC with a 7800X3D instead?

  • +26

You should throw in some case options that are low-key. I reckon you'd sell a good amount more. Lots of people don't want RGB and glass panels. I know it's disqualifying issue for me.

    • +8

Agreed. I'd take a well built, basic, beige car any day. Just going to sit under the desk anyway

    • +1

Interesting. I wasn't expecting to like the RGB lights, but the gaming/media PC I built with a white Lian Li dan a3 case and glass side panel really makes the room look nice when it's running. Even when the glass panel is not directly visible.

The RGB lights somehow come through and give a bit of a backlight feel to the TV.

      • +4

Got enough RGB and lighting in my house. I'm ok with less

        • +1

          I bought a techfast PC (9800x3D & 5090 deal).

I was able to turn off all the RGB (except for the ram). So overall, its pretty much lights out.

    • +1

yep i third this please - any options for cases without windows and RGB lights everywhere ?

    • and also some case options that are more high key. I'd love a Hyte Y70

  • Wow, keen to buy this build. Any things that I should add to it to make it better?

    • +6

      Monitor, mouse, keyboard, headset.

    • +5

      gold rated psu

    • +1

Definitely do the gold rated 750w psu upgrade as the 5070 has a recommended psu of 750w, and maybe better motherboard? just because I haven't really heard of maxsun, other than that just the obvious peripherals if you dont have them. Mouse, keyboard, etc.

      • Would upgrading to 750 or 850 w gold reduce fan noise. I know they should in theory but not sure about in practice

        • +1

I don't know about fan noise, I would assume less power consumed = less heat = less fan required = less noise, so it wouldn't be the higher psu wattage so much as the higher power your pc parts would be drawing from the psu.
That 5070 would draw a fair bit of power, so it may produce noise regardless, but I would go the 750w or above since that's the commonly recommended psu for that card.
I would prioritise gold over how high you want to go beyond the recommended watts (unless you intend to upgrade parts later) just because it's got better efficiency than bronze, which in theory MAY actually help with fan noise since it might waste less power and therefore produce less heat.

The Asus tuf B650m-E wifi upgrade is still out of stock..
the default gaming Gigabyte B650m Gaming plus is an awful board..

    • +3

Thanks, they've come in so I've reenabled.

      • +1

Good to hear that board is back in stock. Hopefully my build will proceed…

      • +1

Will they be available on both builds?

      • +2

Hi Luke, looking to pull the trigger on the R5 7500F. Can you enable to tuf board for this one?

      • you havent renabled, cant see it

      • +2

Still can't see it on the 5070 deal?

      • +1

Can we get the asus on the 7500 deal?

    • Genuine question, why is the Asus tuf B650m a suprior mb than the gigabytes?
From online source, it supports ram with higher speed and has PCIe 5, and some say these are just future proofing features, anything else Im missing?

I'm about to pull the trigger on the 5080 deal and thinking if I should upgrade the MB to Asus.

      • check reviews its dogshit

      • Asus has better VRM & Power Delivery, generally 5080 needs more power for full performance. I upgraded it last time, and the motherboard they are using is actually B650EM-E, which has even better VRMs (80A compared to 60A for each channel). And the PCIex16 is on the first slot, so it should be able to fit within M-ATX cases if you like. You need to confirm with support first which one they are actually using. And it should support PCIe 5 with latest bios, at least from GPU-Z, it shows 5080 running under 5.0 bus interface. I believe it is worth upgrading to Asus motherboard.

  • +1

while waiting for the asus tuf board back in stock, price has gone up. now 7500f comes with stock cooler instead of ag400 and need to pay $25 extra for giga board.

  • I'm still blown away that my 3080 is still a good card. I went to get a 5060TI build for my son and give him my 3080 but I'll be getting a minimum of a 5070TI or 5080 for this build.

    Excellent timing!

  • What LLM can the 2888 one run?

    • +1

      GPT 10000 Grok 9300 Sonnet 6388 Gemini 7388 Sonar 9399

  • +23

Good value. Though I'm afraid these don't meet the industry standard "Marshmall0w2" requirements of RRP $999 with 7% cashback and a dollop of retardation

  • please consider brining this deal back again , its just perfect .

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911449

  • Finally I got the 5070 deal. Third time the charm!

    • Hey I have order the same build. Which brand of GPU did you get?

      • It's inno3D

        • Thank you for sharing

  • @luketechfast What Liquid CPU options are in use and, if ordered, what would the turn around time be for local pick up?

    • These days you need liquid cooled GPU's

  • +1

    Great deal. Keep going.

Very tough gig being a rep posting on Ozbargain - At risk of sounding like a broken record, we should support our reps more and encourage more reps to post.

  • +6

My god, R7-9800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD: $2888 who tf can beat that deal… honestly. You've won the title for Ozbargains fav PC store for PCs.

    • -2

      That mobo tho

      • +4

Yeah but to be fair, the price if you built it yourself will be slightly over theirs with delivery. Even if you try to buy all from one place - youll be outpriced by these guys. They had to cheap out somewhere, true? but thats the reason I like ozbargain. The moment its not a deal the users will come out full force and clown the OP.

    • +2

Absolutely, but I've ended up placing an order with Nebula PC a couple of days ago.
      Main consideration:
      - 3yr warranty instead of 1 which is worth about $250
      - slightly better named brands on certain parts
      - I am based in sydney can pick up in person to save delivery and local warranty
      - worked out to be about $40 more expensive at Nebula

      • Hey mate, just wondering where you got the $40 more expensive part when compared to Nebula?
From what I can see, depending on what build you go they're $300 dearer on a 5080 build and just over $100 on the 5070ti build.
I'm guessing you're factoring in the warranty?

  • Slightly downgrade from previous deal: this one comes with stock cooler compared to deepcool AG400 from previous

  • Got the rtx 5070. Cheers

  • Why does your webpage say you accept afterpay the no option to select at checknout?

  • where is Asus tuf B650m-E wifi upgrade?

and why no modular power supply?

  • +3

Just wanted to shout out Luke from Techfast. Bought a PC from them earlier this week before this offer dropped. Emailed and they immediately upgraded me to this offer including borderlands 4 and the 2TB hard drive. 10/10 service

    • Awesome, I've tried the same

    • wow, when this new deal released, my PC was just build up on the same day. I didn't try….

  • +1

Hey Luke, any chance you've got the Antec C3 Case in white?

    • Also keen for this as was going to go CX700 in white but then realised I'd rather spend the $60 more to get a nicer case with ARGB fans too.

    • Shame noone got back to me, I bought from Nebula instead.

      • me too. Techslow are shit

        • -1

Funny, all three of us bought the same deal from Nebula by the looks, even with varying build differences that’s around 9k Techfast lost. Q_Q.

  • Do the components have individual warranty? Like the motherboard and graphics cards generally have more than the 12 months.

  • Are AIOs essential on a 9800X3D/5080 build or is the AG400 air cooling sufficient?

    • Are the fans on the CX700 case (the standard one) able to change speed or are they always on maximum speed (ie noisy)? I'm starting to worry this is going to sound like an airplane taking off in my apartment at all times.

      Description on Techfast page

Fishtank-style ATX Case with front and side tempered glass panels, aerated side with intake fans, and 3 preinstalled 120mm PWM RGB fans. Full specifications on the Antec website: https://www.antec.com/product/case/cx700-rgb-elite

It looks like if I upgrade to the C3 case then the fan speed can be adjusted (and addressable RGB too).

    • You can buy an AIO from Amazon around $90 for 360mm one and install it yourself. Make sure to ask TechFast to send you the original CPU bracket for install a liquid cooler. It is missing for me, and they sent me the AM4 bracket at first. It takes about another 2 weeks in total to get the correct pieces from the time I received the PC.

      • Thanks for that. Did you get the basic CX700 RGB case initially? Any feedback on noise/cooling effectiveness?

        • Yeah, the basic CX700 case with a wind cooler was sometimes noisy, but just a few seconds when starting a game. After replacing it with a liquid cooler, the system is quite silent now.
