Howdy folks, back with more September bangers including the hugely popular pairing of the Ryzen 5 7500F and RTX 5070. As you might have seen B650 is approaching the end of a very solid production run, so are becoming harder to get a hold of and prices are rising. We've still managed to hit an all-time low price for the combo and secured the Maxsun Challenger B650M WiFi for this deal. We're still offering the Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi, and you should upgrade to this board if you're looking to upgrade to a larger case that features USB-C on the front IO, as it has the required header.

On another supreme combo, the 9800X3D and RTX 5080, we've upped the storage to 2TB and kept the price locked at $2888.

Both builds again come with Borderlands 4 while the promo runs until September 23rd. Borderlands 4 promo has ended

No it will not. This a much easier cpu to handle. People need to stop comparing a 9950x with a 9800x3d

        • +1

There's several things going on here:

          1. You linked a timestamp for the Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E WIFI, yet say you're discussing a Gigabyte motherboard.
          2. None of the boards tested in that link are any of the Gigabyte boards mentioned in this deal.
          3. The video you've linked literally says "[…] it's true that all of them will work fine with a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 5", so you're apparently not even paying attention to your own sources and simultaneously don't understand how power consumption / thermal throttling works. The power consumption of the 9800X3D is roughly 100W lower in a Blender multi-threaded workload than a 7950X (close to 50% less!!).

You had the chance to contribute useful information and instead just insulted someone while showing all of us that you're a dunce whose opinions should be actively ignored.

  • Hi everyone, I don't know much about computer hardware but am considering getting the 5070 for my son. In the spec list, it says it will come pre-installed with Linux Mint. Does that mean I will need to purchase Windows separately?

Someone commented it is worth upgrading the Power supply to 750w Gold. My son mainly plays Counter-strike 2, are there any other upgrade options that is worth getting?

Thanks in advance for any advice and help :)

      • windows is pretty much free, you just need to install it
      • don't worry with any upgrades

It's great to see online that a lot of people had positive experiences with techfast but figured I would share mine since it was not that great. I had pretty low expectations from techfast but was somehow still left disappointed.

Bought a $2880 pc from them which came with a faulty case with a bent front panel. Reached out to techfast and they offered me $37 refund to replace a case which retails for $119. I replied saying that's not great since I have to go out of my way to buy another case and rebuild the pc then I didn't hear anything from them for 20+ days. So I ended up rebuilding the pc into another case and sent a follow up email. I got a reply saying I could have got a case swap under warranty (which was never offered originally) but now it's too late because I already swapped it myself and I should just take the $37 since that's all they can offer…

It is a shame the customer service is so appalling because the actual pc and the build quality was not bad (aside from the bent panel) and the value was great

  • Shame that they don't let you choose which brands you want, or at least negate the brands you really don't want. Paying $4k just to leave it up to chance seems ridiculous. Some people won't care and order and take whatever they get, but I don't see why they don't let people who have preferences put them in the notes if they do have stock of that brand. So bizarre.

Oh no the Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E WiFi Motherboard ($50.00) is out of stock :(

    • +3

killed the deal for me honestly, the gigabyte one is too garbage, think I might go for the nebula build

        From Techfast

The ASUS TUF Gaming B650M‑E WiFi motherboard upgrade ($50) on that listing is currently unavailable. We don’t have a restock date to share right now. All available upgrade options are shown directly on the build page - if an option isn’t selectable, it’s out of stock. When it returns, it’ll reappear there as a selectable upgrade.

If you’d like to lock in a similar setup right now with a B650 Wi‑Fi board included, check out this build on our main site:
        TechFast RTX 5080 16GB Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - from $3799
This includes a B650 Wi‑Fi motherboard and you can customise RAM or storage on the page for extra performance if you want.

Just pay an extra grand if you'd like to get the one from the site instead LMFAO.

          • +1

@getgot: Yeah bit of a weak response. A shame because I’m usually pretty supportive of tech fast and they weren’t particularly helpful or responsive on here to the feedback so I ordered from Nebula for a little bit more but without the doubts.

        • +1

          yeah lol, its cooked

Looks to be back in stock but is now $99 :(

Just put in my order. I've been checking OzBargain on and off for about 3 years, never really ready to pull the pin. Today was my f**** it moment.

Absolutely stocked to be running the 9800X3D with the 5080. Thank you TechFast!

  • +1

Hi Luke, Can we have the 7700/5070 deal with Asus Tuf board?

  • I swear, this company should be called "TechSlow". It takes a long time for them to build and ship a PC.

    • +2

      One PC yes, hundreds no

  • terrible customer support would not recommend, and garbage lazy website. I said screw that and ordered 5K build through nebula, they were much better

    • which build did you get ?

      • 5080 9800x3d build custom

  • I just wanted to jump on here and thank the Tech Fast team again. Their service was top notch as they constantly responded to my emails within a couple of hours and kept me updated throughout the process. They also upgraded my 5080 purchase (from the other advertisement) with this advertisements inclusions (2TB storage + B4 redemption).

The cabling was very neat, in-fact much cleaner than the previous PC I purchased from a highly regarded PC company here in Melbourne…

If you were to see it in this way, the only 'downside' is the shipping time and the memory/PSU being a 'lower tier' brand. Irrespective of the above, everything works great, I have stress tested it multiple times with benchmarking and in-game, no issues.

    Cheers

  • @luketechfast Hey mate,

What is the ETA for delivery on these builds, I ordered on the 30th fo Aug and still have not received a tracking/shipping email?

    • Has your order progressed at all? I placed my order on the 29th and it hasn't been picked or assembled yet based on their websites order tracking

      • I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 30th and no progress at all on the website tracking

      • No updates :) Dont think I will be able to activate BL4 :)

        • +1

fyi from the original post: "Redemption Period End Date: 10/22/25"
you'll have enough time to redeem it

      • same aswell. ordered 5 september, no updates

        • ETA is 10~15 business days. I wouldn't hold breath until the end of next week.

          • +1

@rocket-tear: Well I just got an update on the 15th bussiness day, your computer is now in the assembly and testing.
Tbh, my experience has been very poor with TechFast thus far. The estimated time for dispatch is VERY long and now is oging beyond this long time and I still dont know when it will get dispatched.

I comented on this post tagging the company rep, hoping to get some light shed on it, and I got crickets from them :)

            Pretty underwhelming.

            • @OTFile: Yes it's very disappointing especially when there are better deals available even before my order's been picked/built.
Look at all the new pc deals posted today.

But I guess that's the nature of this bargain/budget pc builder. Lesson's learnt. I just wish I can get my order safely delivered before the end of this month or early next month.
At least my experience with Techfast support was positive. very responsive and accommodating.

  • If anyone keen to sell the BL4 code please message me

    • Message me with an offer

  • Hi All - sharing my positive experience with @luketechfast and the Techfast crew.

I ordered this deal on Aug 30th. Got a confirmation email with a delivery window of 15th-22nd Sept.
I didnt hear anything again until i emailed Luke on the 15th to check the status of my order. He replied fairly quickly and said everything was on track. They were waiting for my case to be delivered which was expected at the end of the week. He gave me the option to swap cases with one they already had in stock, and i took him up on that offer.

The next day (16th) i had my order picked, built and shipped. Aus Post tracking number and an email update saying everything was sorted and my PC is on its way.

Thanks for the quick response. will keep you updated once i take delivery later in the week.
    Cheers

    • keen to know which pc you purchased, I ordered the 5070 build around the same time as you and still no updates..

      • Mine was shipped today

  • Mine shipped today. ordered on 28/08.

  • If anyone received the PC, please tell us which rtx 5070 you've got

    • i think most wont even know how to check..

  • After dallying for weeks on this, I've finally jumped in on the 5070 deal with some subtle upgrades.

Thanks Luke and team, that price is hard to ignore. And I super appreciate the comments above, especially mallow, they're a good egg in this space.

    • +1

      should of got through nebula

      • I compared thoroughly

        Not as good

      • +4

You really get what you pay for.

Techfast offers unbeatable value, but there are almost no upgrade options and you don’t know which brands or models you’ll get. Build and delivery can take 10–15 business days (unless you order from the full-price Techfast site). Comes with a 1-year RTB warranty.

Nebula, Evatech, and Gala cost about $100–$200 more, but you get more upgrade options and full visibility on brands and models. Build and delivery is faster—around 5–10 business days (Nebula: 5–10, Gala 5~7, Evatech: 7–10). They also offer better warranty coverage: 3 years pickup-and-return (Nebula, Gala) or 3 years RTB (Evatech).

So if you want the absolute bargain, Techfast is the way to go. But if you want your PC sooner, with specific brands, upgrades, and better warranty, it’s worth paying a little extra for Nebula, Evatech, or Gala.

        • -2

          $400 more for same spec

          At that point I'll buy a 5080, not a 5070 build

Couldn't care less for warranty or brands. I overclocked a Duron processor by cutting it with a scalpel and drawing in pencil decades ago, these things don't bother me lol

          • +2

@LaTerrible: You're right. For many of us, the brand or model isn't a big deal. We can wait an extra week for delivery, and as long as there aren't any issues in the first few months, the PC will usually last a long time.

I just wanted to explain the difference between these PC builders.

  • +1

@luketechfast I made an order on the 16th for the 5080 build and there hasn’t been any progress made at all. Do you guys generally start picking and building the pc between the dispatch ETA window?
