Will Local Attractions Accept SG Groupon Voucher from Non-Locals?

Has anyone used SG singapore groupon vouchers for entering local attractions there

I asked the advertiser ( travel agency) and they said that it was ok.
But i doubt because The attractions have different priced tickets for locals and non-locals so at the entrance Will they expect me to be a 'local' and ask me to show any 'proof' .?

  • Ccl isn't as active as ozb

    • Lol, looks like it's just Tightarse, Moocher and JSquared on there.

  • Do the terms on the voucher say anything about requiring to be a local. If it's not in the terms, than it would be hard to enforce it.

But there's still the risk they will dispute it and it just depends on how much stress you want on your holiday.

I used one when I was last over there. No issues at all. There are lots of expats in Singapore so they probably expect some non-Singaporeans to use them.

Not quite the same but I bought tickets to Disneyland Paris using a local website with the help of Google translate. There is a dual pricing system for locals and tourists. I had used our apartment rental address as the address and picked the vouchers up at the equivalent of Ticketmaster. I sweated in the line as I don't speak French. There was not a problem. Saved a lot of money.

I have looked at Groupon etc for Malaysia but never used it. I did not have the flexibility in my schedule so that if the restaurant was full, I wasn't able to use it another night. Singapore Groupon had a lot of attractions tickets. There are a lot of expats in Singapore.

  • Is the local price cheaper or more expensive?

  • These aren't restaurant vouchers and there is a good enough difference for locals and general tickets.(x is for family of 4)
The voucher doesn't say anything about 'for locals'. The travel agency says they can be used by all. The only doubt is- what if they check at the 'gate'??

    • Honestly, 1/3 of people living in Singapore are expats so I very much doubt they'll even know to ask. If you're really concerned send a message to Groupon/the attraction before you go and take a print out with you.

Not quite the same but I used a Groupon in Indonesia and didn't have any hassles what so ever.

  • Hmmm
Their definition of 'local' is residence in Singapore.
