Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2400MHz 2x8GB $97 AUD Shipped @ Newegg

150

2400mhz for sub $100 seems like a pretty sweet deal for people still on DDR3 systems looking for faster RAM, it should bring a decent performance increase to people still running RAM at 1600mhz or below.

  • Red is $90 and Silver is $77. So red must be better?

    • No they all have same model number and specs (the last item in serial number denotes colour)
      GET THE SILVER ONLY

  • Nice price, ordered 32G Silver

  • today I just bought Kingston 2666mhz 16gb kit for $109

  • Also about $97 AUD delivered (according to xe.com currency conversion) from Amazon too but this is the Red colour. If i had the choice i would go for the Red colour release from Amazon.

  • Many DDR3 mobos wont run this at full speed.

Its also 1.65v when many mobos are meant to run 1.5v ram.

8GB vs 16GB for gaming makes no difference.

    Good price though.

    • 8GB vs 16GB for gaming makes no difference.

I have to disagree as I saw a 5-8% increase in GTA V, Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3 and Dying Light when I upgraded + now I can play ARK: Survival Evolved smooth without having to resort to launching it in low memory mode.

  • Considering this is not marked as expired, the Red is now AUD $91 (keeps changing, was $89 a few hours ago).

So temped to upgrade from 2x4gb 1600 ddr3.

If only there were not clearance issues with my hyper 212 cooler…
