160

Xiaomi Mi Power Bank in Silver, larger 16000mAh model at one of the lowest prices I've seen.
Dual USB ports and premium Li-ion battery cells encased in a sleek aluminium casing.

Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Pro - 10000mAh, USB Type-C, Black - $38 Including Shipping @ AliExpress

Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Pro (10000mAh) is the newer, slimmer, shorter model with USB type-c. Capable of charging your phone or MacBook on the go with shorter charge times compared to the original Xiaomi Power Bank models. Excellent price for this model.

  • Are these good?

How do they compare to say a ROMOSS or Orico?

    • no expert here, but from my experience they do exactly as described. build quality is top notch. take away the chinese stigma, and put maybe an apple logo, or even samsung's logo, and they probably sell for 2-3x the price.

      • a lot of them are fakes on aliexpress so watch out for that

  • Noob question
Is this safe to bring onto a plane?

    • Pretty sure last time I flew Cebu Pacific they said these were NOT allowed in either hand luggage or check-in….

Have taken multiple power banks on a wide range of flights before. They just need to be properly sealed. I've also checked in a UPS etc no dramas at all for under carriage (not on plane due to weight). Power banks are no different to taking your laptop on board with you realistically.

It obviously depends on airline, but all the ones here allow it AFAIK.

    • Flew to Gold Coast via Virgin 4 months ago, was fine as long as it was enclosed in a bag (as per Virgin website info). Airport security accepted snaplock bag it was in, as 'enclosed'.
