          @jv: The majority of the stuff I find for free on Amazon is US. Even when someone posts a deal for Aus books (free), they virtually always have the associated US links. That or you can just edit the URL to find the US version.

          So I just sit with the US zone for my Amazon account. Mostly i am at work when I find links to help in my amassing a free sprawling book collection that I will almost certainly never read.

          So for some of us, its too much faffing about changing regions, we'd like to help each other by determining if US links just work.

          Downvoting people with the issue, just cause it works for you, is irritating. As clearly there are others with the issue.

          Because the fact that you would ask such a question is indicative of how unfriendly a place this has become. What you're saying when you downvote is that you believe that comment is worthless. In the long run that puts people off bothering to comment. Ozbargain is a vibrant large community today but I've been around long enough to see many message platforms come and go. One of the things that is most likely to take them from very popular to a ghost town is disrespecting contributions by members.

        You need to change your settings to Australia in order to download from those Amazon US links.

        Once you have downloaded the book(s), you can change back to US (or whatever country).

    For me, these books are not available for my 'Kindle Cloud Reader' account. However, it is available '$0' for my account linked 'Android Device'. Hope that helps someone having trouble of buying/downloading these books.
