    Well that's Mother's Day sorted!

    This is actually correctly designed, since this belt does not expand the middle. So… a cheap belt is better then ones you get for over $50, there you go.

    • But why do you need one?

        we are waiting……

        Back and core support for lifting heavy weights usually used when doing deadlifts or squats. But I wouldn't trust these flimsy belts compared to an inzer or another IPF approved belt.

        • +1

          That's when most people wear them but how does a belt wrapped around your waist support your back and core?

        • +1

          @28Degrees: mostly used for keeping good form. you dont need it, but it helps when you reach heavier weight. if serious about it, sooner-or-later it will come in handy once reaching a pinnacle.

        • @28Degrees: Belt + air in gut= tight wall around your core whilst you're lifting. It also lessens the chances of injuries such as hernia's etc. I only use them for heavy lifts around 200kg or more.

          @28Degrees:

          If you feel like you don't need one. Then you don't. People get "gym gear" because it's better specifically for them. Like a belt for people that want to lift heavier and for it to feel better for THEM. In theory it is meant to keep things "tight" so that when you lift you are less likely to perform it in terrible form (overhunching backs on deadlift). It's like gloves or chalk or nothing. Some people prefer them because everyone has different sorts of grips and reasonings for training.

          @28Degrees:

          Keeps everything in the proper position so its hard to get out of place. It also takes some of the load. So if you make a mistake or have bad form it helps prevent/reduce injuries.

          Misplacing 100+ kilos can really do some damage to your back.

  • Can these be worn like a normal belt? Or would I need to alter my jeans?

    • +2

      The jeans that you wear to gym would not need to be altered.

    These are terrible, I needed to move house, so I went and grabbed 3 of these things, chucked em on, great! Let's do it. Still couldn't budge the fridge or washing machine. Faulty?
