Best place to buy a Nexus 5X ?

Hi all

After weeks of tossing up different models I've decided to go with a 5X.

My next dilemma is where to buy it from. Ideally i'd like to get local stock, however the price gap is crazy.

For those who have purchased from Kogan and other grey importers, do the models come with the bands necessary to get on 4G here in Aus ? Did you have any major issues with these suppliers?

Cheers

Bought from Kogan during the cooling15 eBay sale. As paying $100+ for H791 model was not worth it for me. I'm with tpg (voda network I believe) and get 4g coverage.

Delivery was quick, got the item in 4 business days.

Great phone, came from a G4.

I purchased the 16GB H791 version from eglobal when they had the free shipping deal

Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Friday. Shipped from Hong Kong.

Came with a European pin charger and EU-AU adapter which is huge.

H791 covers all the 4G AU bands as far as I know. I'm on Optus and haven't noticed any difference compared to the Moto X (1st gen) I was using.

I'll be traveling the country for a year long holiday and be changing to Telstra so went with the AU version as I need to get decent speeds at times.

    Trouble free purchase.

Everyone that has ordered from eglobal seems content. At least those posting in the comments section.

Also, eglobal seems to drop the price a few bucks every few weeks, im waiting for the next price drop+ discount code to order mine.

    • Yeah I think I'll go with eGlobal, seems like a legit bunch. Plus they accept PayPal so worst comes to worse there's that fallback. I'm still not 100% on the 5X but to be honest I'm just tired at comparing all these phones, so I'll probably just get this one - seems great especially @ ~$300-350. Are you going for the 16GB with 4GX band or the 32gb without ?

      • Im going for the 16gb, I dont have a need for 32GB. Although if you have the doubt… then you many want to consider the 32gb. It really depends on you and your habits, I for one use my phone as my main camera so you would think storage is a big deal. But not really, every once in a while I just upload everything to Google Photos, which has unlimited storage and then I delete the ones of the phone. As far as legitimacy, im going to trust the fellow Ozbagainers who have posted their testimonials which ive seen on several N5X posts, not just this one. Oh and If you decide to go for 32gb, Ive felt that the difference between 3g and 4g for basic things like web browsing and facebooking is small, but thats just in my experience.
