    Thanks OP!

Worth also noting that the BF:HL Standard Edition is currently 50% off for Deals with Gold, so that's the princely sum of $14.98! You beauty, another cheap game I probably won't get time to play, but I can still hoard!!! :)

Alternatively, you can get EA Access for about $35-40 a year, which includes BF:HL. Might be a better deal unless you are only interested in BF:HL.

Honestly, after my 1 month trial of EA Access, there's not that much in the vault that is of interest to me I'm afraid.

Great if you're into sports games I suppose, and a great concept overall, but just not for me.

        • +1

Yeah, it's not for everyone - I got it for P vs Z which was $35 by itself when I subscribed so it worked out to be a better deal for me. I should point out that you get Hardline Premium for free with your EA Access at the moment so if you are interested in having all the DLC, it works out cheaper to get EA Access.

EA access is only $25/year at target. Just stacked two years worth.

    • Also pretty sure target has the hard copy of hardline xbox one version for $15

Title says "Free", but this is a paid yearly sub for the digital lucky-dip you are receiving.

    • It also says "with gold". I pay for access to multiplayer games, ie: Destiny, Division, GoW, Halo, the list goes on. If I get free games on top of that, then they are free. You are not paying for the lucky dip. The lucky dip is there to reward people for using Microsofts service. $50 a year, access to gaming services and apps and they throw in up to 12 or more free games a year that they don't have to. You're drawing a long bow with your "but but but, it isn't free" rhetoric…

        So in other words.

You are paying Microsoft to give you free content……

Why don't they throw in a free lumia 950 in the deal too.

        • they did but it seems to be a slow download to get the Lumia ……. subscription models are the way of the future as manufactures want to keep cash flow going gold on Xbox….. office 365 vs office 2016 outright ….. ps4 also offers sweeteners if you subscribe ….. I hate subscription models but can appreciate that people, buy them because they like multiplayer online games ….. I know my son does. ….. what is worse with some platforms you loose the free downloads if you stop the subscription with some you don't but you can't play them until you subscribe again……

@garage sale: Don't feed the trolls dude, just pity them…they won't listen, they carry on with the same crap every Xbox thread…I can't imagine a life so pathetic that would compel them to police threads like this with their pedantic drivel; but hey, whatever floats their little boats! ;)

          @garage sale:

Why would anyone pay for online multiplayer? It's free on any quality gaming platform.

I think what you meant to say was…

*Insert any typical PC circlejerk comment you can think of…"

Or are you still angry that my Xbox One cost me under $500 and your PC cost you over $2000. A lot of $50 yearly subscriptions in $1500. No updating hardware every 4 weeks because of a new game. No messed up drivers that don't work. No rampant cheaters with aimbot or farming programs running.

The games are free. You're paying for access to voice servers, game servers, app servers, bandwidth and what ever Gold access gives you. The games are free, because you are not paying for the games, you are paying for the access to all of the other services. Much like you PC champs do with games like WoW or LoL or Eve or want me to keep going?

          Consider the trolls fed :D

That's not how free works. That's now how free works at all.

Just so other people know battlefield hard-line has to be the shitest game of all time.

You will want to burn your console after downloading because there is nothing left to do.

    • +1

Really? It's not that bad, i've played "shitester" games.

      • LOL, I hope you're qualified to use technical jargon like that… :)

    • Complete and utter hyperbole.

  • Just found out that if you have EA Access, you get Hardline Premium for free!

    https://store.xbox.com/en-AU/Xbox-One/Bundle/Battlefield-Har…

  • The game is actually decent. Well, the SP is. I enjoyed it. Free games on. Xbox is hard to whine about but it seems there's always some spoilt, privileged try hard who expects life to throw everything their way all the time.

HHmm. This is weird. I't using my account but asking for a credit card and won't let me change the state to Western Australia?

Doesn't do this normally for GwG content - it remembers my credit card and I simply click OK.

Is this a US only deal or something? My prices seem to come up in US$ also….
