Vodafone Doubled My Inclusions: 2 Months for Price of 1

So I did my monthly Amaysim —> Vodafone port, starting up a PhoneBot sim card and when I check my balance it says 12gb with 56 day expiry.
In account settings it says "Reason: A763 Reward Transaction"
So they have doubled my duration and added extra 4gb (just one lot of 4gb bonus) for porting in.

Happy days, that now works out as unlimited calls and 6gb for $6/month.

Anyone else get some love from Vodafone?

  • I'm porting to vodafone today, so hope to see this too!

    • Please confirm. I may do it as well

      • Same

    • i only looked at myaccount on Voda about 24 hours after porting, so didn't realise until then

also received SMS about 24 hours after porting….
"Joining Vodafone was the right choice - We have doubled your inclusions and your expiry, so now your recharge expires on 01/07/16. To check your account balance head to http://vfau.co/myvf. T&Cs apply, see at http://vfau.co/ppiro "

      • Once we define approved customers this is a potential deal.

        • +1

agree, but until we determine that 'approved customers' equals practically everyone, then forums it is.
Not sure why I was a lucky one - I'm just a regular Amaysim > Voda > Amaysim > Voda monthly churner

        • @battler:

I guess that explains it. They may have noticed your number ports in and out frequently and rewarded you with this offer.

I am more of Telstra > Voda > Telstra > Voda guy. I could be eligible, if so, I'll report back here 18 of May

        • @battler:

So far mine is showing double data on a $30 SIM port from telstra. But no double expiry.but port is not yet completed.

        • @Gofast:
double data has been a standard offering for all new connections by 31/5.

I assume that my 12gb consists of 4gb this month + 4gb double data, plus 4gb for next month (without double data).

        • @battler:

My port finally came through this morning, but no change on my inclusions yet…

What is the definition of approved customers ?

    • No clear definition. What is approved to you is not approved to someone else, just lawyers wording to let the company do whatever they want.

I used to A763 reward voda while it really did offer broadband/data…

  • Monthly port between voda and amaysim?

  • I have ported 2 SIM's from Amaysim to Vodafone($30 starter kit) over the weekend (On Sat night)
    - one of them was ported on Sunday has got double inclusions
Data is not doubled, but is one and half times.(4.5 GB instead of 3GB)
Expiry from 28 days to 56 days
Combo credit $60, instead of $30.

    • 2nd one was ported this morning has no bonus inclusions on it
  • +1

I ported few days ago from Telstra to Vodafone and received the double inclusions within 2-3 days.

  • I got the double inclusion deal as well on port from Optus - Voda. Is it just me or does Voda report data at about twice the rate of Optus ?

  • Also ported my wife's number to Vodafone from Telstra and received the double inclusions within 24h.

All the doubled inclusions/credit, expires end of July which leads me to assume, Vodafone wants to make their prepaid stats look good for the EOFY report. So all of us who are used to carrier hoping every month would stick at least until end of July for the FY reporting period.

  • Has anyone tried availing/porting in twice with the same number for this promo? My current expiry and allowance have been doubled but I am considered porting out to Telstra for a few hours and coming back to Vodafone if I can get another double expiry and allowances.

    • +1

From my understanding of porting in and out, when you port out you lose/end all your inclusions and expiry time ( if any left over ). Alternatively, when you port in you start off with the values of the starter pack plus any bonuses if there is a promo. If porting using just a $2 ( or less ) blank sim, then you need to recharge to get any credit, plus like in this case you will be given double bonus even on the recharge of $30 or more.

      • I have another $40 VF starter pack that I can port into prior to the 17th. I think that porting out and back in is worth the trouble this time around.

        • Yes, you should be able to port number from other carrier to Voda with multiple sims to get more than one of these special offers, should not be limited to one sim port per same name. I was referring above to not being able to port twice with same sim/number to double this offer as any credits and expiry time would not roll over, can use different sims with different numbers though. Like you said, well worth it, even if you activate a new $2 sim just to port for this offer.
