I've used it 3 times now over the past few months….

Would it count as a deal though?
It really is more smart shopping than a deal to me…

Id say counts as a deal :)

Yeah price matching is pretty much common sense now

$160 is a good price for the WDTV Live. Why neg? I found it useful.

It's been mentioned plenty of times but the cheapest after pricematch is

    $156.75 matching = 5%off at umart.com.au

  • It looks like does NOT support rmvb?

  • compared to the Astone Media player, this is over priced.

the WD-TV also has USB port too close to the HDMI outlet. If you have a fat USB cable or US stick, it's impossible to connect impossible.
A while back, I did buy the WD-TV and returned it the next day because of this.

    • WDtv live got 2 usb port

    • The quality and features of the WDTV are in a completely different league to the Astone. And the WDTV has two USB ports, neither of them are particularly close to the HDMI port

    • usb extention cable? can grab one for like a buck or two

  • I have one (thx to DSE deal selling for $160 - also price matched to OW)

It is fantastic, will play everything, don't know about rmvb since I don't have file with that format …

No more watching mkv on PC for me :)

    • it doesnt use RM but to be honest, its a pretty dead format anyway. It'll hurt some I'm sure but not many.

  • Went to Morley, WA store and they don't price beat online prices from interstate. Instead they take into account freight first. So they did a price beat for UMart price + $6.50 freight.$162.92 which is still good price.

Guy at the store said that they may have network dropout issues. Is this a resolved issue?

Yeah seems like these and WD hard drives are dropping in price.

  • Officeworks now have these for 155.99 online & instore

  • bummers, i missed out on one of these.
Does anyone know where i can get this at a price similar to this?
