It's 3TB, not sure where earth got 4TB from. Earth also mentions in his post:

    3TB at 2TB price.

    • Fixed :)

And in that case, the 3TB portable at PC Lan seems better value @ $125 delivered :/

irrelevant to this deal as its Out of Stock

My bad, didn't even notice that lol

  • yea. it would better be 'in store only' as their website has been down for a day or two

  • Will this work on a Mac?

(just getting the same ol' question out there early)

    • No

      Jokes

    • Nothing will.

    • You can just reformat the drive using Drive Utility to OS X Extended (Journaled)

you can also format it to eXFAT, which makes it compatible to both Windows, OSX and also Linux.

There no drives out there which are made for a specific Operating system. All drives can be formatted as FAT, exFAT, NTFS or HFS+

      • As someone who recently used exFAT on a WD Desktop External for this purpose, probably dont rely on this as a bulletproof option. It worked for a while but now no longer mounts on OS X (i get prompts to repair it etc). Works fine on Windows though still.

  • I could find any reviews on the monitor, is it any good?

  • Just noticed we have MSY In Perth :)

      MSY are insidious that way..

    • We have for years lol :P

  • Man wtf is going on… how come 3TB is still this price in mid-2016 !?

    I found an invoice - July/2011 with 3 x 3TB from BH Photo… $108 each delivered :|

..and they literally turned up 2.5 days after I hit the order. Was insane.

It's thanks to crappy exchange rates, our AUD has tanked badly since 2011 man.

      Back then $1 AUD = $1.03 USD.

      Now: $1 AUD = $0.73 USD

      • and according to Deustchebank (sp?) we'll be headed to $1 AUD = $0.60 USD by end of year
