  • Great price! The game itself.. so so :P

    • I'd have to disagree. I think it's one of the greatest RPG's this gen. Well worth $69.

      • +1

graphics may be great but the game itself isn't

        • totally agree! graphic is truly awesome. but game is just so so. the price, for a local shop, is good.

Prepare to be neg'd into oblivion ;)

Not a bad reason though, it definitely alerts everyone to a cheaper way of obtaining the game. To all who neg'd him, don't you want a cheaper way of obtaining the game?! :)

      • i don't think it is a valid reason to neg. The deal he is talking about is different to this one. If you wanted to source it cheaper then either post a new deal or update the op, but dont neg just because theres something that could be better out there

        • It's probably a grey-area that hasn't been dealt with before, but neg'ing rules as per http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines are:

"A negative vote would also be appropriate for cheaper prices elsewhere. In this case, please include a link or description of where it is cheaper"

To me, I'd say this does encapsulate his negative vote… even if it's at the same shop!

I guess you can report it if you think it's inappropriate and I'm sure a moderator will decide :)

          • +1

@pais: I agree it is a bit of a grey area. But it is still much easier finding a cheapish price from a store and buying it than being on the lookout for trade bait

I for one am very capable at the act of trade baiting, but as that act may involve going to multiple places (or buying online), some may find this as the cheapest alternative (sans online stores).

    • jb doesnt have 2 for 1 deals…. only 3 for 1

      • They had 2 for 1 on NDS Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver about a month ago.

      • +1

you need to check the website, there are a number of games on 2-4-1 now…..

    • If you could ignore the waiting period. :)

Though why you could find the game horrible when you don't seem to have own one yet… remains a mystery.

    • I'm going to have to agree with hotm on this one… I used 3 tradebait to get it at $55 back when it was 3for1, and that was a good price then. I was lucky that Game had a good trade value on it so I traded it back maybe 3 weeks later for $65 and then added $8 more and turned it into Heavy Rain.

There are still a ton of places to get $20 games to trade into JB, which means you can have it for $40, instead of paying $29 more. Myer is a prime example, although I'm not sure if their last catalogue ended already.

errrm u don't have to buy it online

Still cheaper from zavvi on 360 for those who don't mind waiting. (45AUD + postage)

Cheaper on PS3 as well, but only marginally
    http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/ps3/final-fantasy-xiii…
    56AUD + postage

Definitely a good price for the game as-is, even if there are other more time-consuming means of obtaining it.

Still Cheaper than ZAVVI and has same price for 360 and ps3 (41AUD + postage)
      cheers!!

Sure you can save $10, but you will be waiting while everyone else plays is for 15-30 days while yours gets sent from China to Japan to Malaysia to Darwin to Melb.

      • +2

Which is what I've already stated:
Definitely a good price for the game as-is, even if there are other more time-consuming means of obtaining it.

I'm just offering a viable, cheaper alternative… which is what OzBargain is all about.

I'm not sure how far off they are from returning to normal service following the eruption, but games from the UK usually arrive within 5 working days.

I think thats the cheapest Australian version i've seen. positive from me

Instore for $69? If so, + for you

  • Got bored of this game after 10 hours and was still on the first disc.

    • You could sell it, someone else might appreciate it. :)

  • ~.^ LOL GG BRO if i'm wrong hahahaha

  • why not earlier!! i bought one off ebay for $63 delivered like 1.5 weeks ago and it still isn't here. :(:(
    very nice price though.

  • hmmm
yes its prolly cheaper to buy 3 games and trade it in
but have u got links to those 3 games, if you dont then u haven't shown it to be cheaper

also if you do, it'll be abused and then it'll be on the exclusion lists

    • currently trade TWO games get it free

great deal. I got from Ebay at similar price included shipping.. just finished the game… i love it.

  • Feel I should also point out this is also $69 from GAME, if you want an AU copy, can't be bothered going out, and don't want to pay and extra two bucks for shipping:

If you weren't enough of a fan to already run out and buy this I wouldn't bother. It has great graphics but the first half is an overblown tutorial and the second half tests how much trawling with the dated and intelligence insulting battle system you can stand. I was a huge fan of FF, love the graphics but the actually gameplay was very disappointing. The ending was trite, I don't know why so many were saying it was great.. heck the final boss was the easiest battle in the game. I want the 50hours I put in back!

  • Bought it from JB in-store yesterday after cancelling my online order with CDWOW last week. Waited 1 month plus for them to deliver and finally went to cancel it… +1 for JBhifi, -1 for CDWOW
