      I've bought a couple of generic ones, and a couple of Xiaomi ones, and the Xiaomi ones tend to have a cooler, blue tone (compared to the more yellow tint of the cheaper ones). Also probably ~20-30% brighter.

        I'd overlooked the obvious, one was Xiaomi and one was generic and had been looking at pictures and stats trying to figure at the difference.

        I think this seems like a good deal and have ordered a Xiaomi blue one.

    I recently received these from a previous deal for US $0.75

    decent light for the price. Perfect for lighting up my keyboard. or as a night light when plugged into a wall usb charger.

    apparently (according to a comment made a year ago here on Ozbargain which I can't find) the Xiaomi ones work with the Xiaomi powerpacks on/off button. but generics won't turn on/off when using the powerpack button.
