Need to Do Some Drill & Cut, Any Cheap Workshop or Service to Hire around Metro Areas?

Hey fellas, hope you all are well.

I need a few solid wood blocks and strips. Need vertical drill on aluminium square tubes.

4pcs 30x15x350mm
2pcs 15x15x350mm (approx.)

I am wondering if there is any cheap service or workshop (with tools) to hire in metro areas and what is the price range.

It may not even take 10 minutes to finish the job if my garage workshop is still here, long story, don't ask :(

Thanks everyone

  • Every Bunnings has a little shop like this up the back that can saw pieces like this. Charge a few cents each (not sure about the drill, though, only seen the saws).

    • Yer, I called Oakleigh South store, they want $1 per cut and the store rep says they won't cut for such tiny dimension. The rep suggests to buy power tool to DIY.

look up your local Mens Shed. http://mensshed.org/

    • $100 annual membership gives you access to variety of power tools.

It does worth a physical visit a Men Shed to take a look.

      Cheers.

      • Local one is $50, the Noosa one is similar I think.
        $100 sounds a bit expensive.

        • Oh, which local one? $50 sounds even better.

May I get a link for that, please?

          Thank you

        • @icecream:
just been talking to my dad, he says Noosa is $50, local to me is $50.
just search on the site I gave you. http://mensshed.org/find-a-shed/

Dad also says you can just go in and the old guys will do the work for you, tell them what you want and give them $10-20 or so.
