    • Try directly on bravofly website.

      • On Bravofly, it requires Maestro card in order to get cheap flight. Otherwise, $100.

I don't know why you are all bothering with booking this? There's no possible way anyone will honour it.

    • +1

You never know. Airasia honoured buisness class return to Bali for $288. I still have the travel itinerary to prove it.

      • +2

This is an international flight for TWELVE dollars though… and with the reputation of these booking sites I only think you're in for a world of trouble. That's just my opinion though.

        • +1

Yeah but tell me you'll lose sleep over $12

        • @nightelves: no doubt they'll refund it but it's a pain to have to go back and forth to arrange that no?

        • @blaze:

IF they honour it would you not feel great that you scored the bargain of the year?

  • Too good to be true i think.

Must be a mistake for $12.

    • +1

Taxes only would be at least $100

      • Exactly, and not to mention, all the other extra surcharges associated with bookings.

  • Just paid for it including the fullflex $18. Never thought of going to Taiwan :)

    • +1

      Lucky you!

      • Did you use eDreams or Bravofly?

        • Bravofly.

    • +1

Never thought of going to Taiwan :)

From my experience with BravoFly you (nor I) will be going this time either…..but its worth ago!

As for Taiwan….well worth the visit. Food is amazing.

  • The price was no longer $12 but rather $20.

    • It's still $12, mine is just $11.98

  • CBF due to bravofly. Hope I don't miss the deal of the century.

  • pity, no love for GC (OOL)

  • Must be deal of the century!

I would book those tickets, but i only just got back from china. not sure the wallet allows me to go overseas again.

    • +5

      The credit card will

      • thats the easy part. its the paying it back that is the problem.

        • You don't need two pinky fingers…

  • anything from gc?

    • nah

  • Looks like they fix it? I tried to proceed with payment (using paypal) but it said booking could not be completed.

  • I can book but I don't want because I have to stay there for too long. I just want to stay for a couple days

    • you must really enjoy sitting on a plane and at airports!

      • outgoing flights are flexible from sydney so long as you return on the 30th.

  • Nothing from MEL :( :( :(

  • Would love to see someone try and get Flight Centre to price match…

    • +1

Don't bother, Flight Centre are pathetic at price matches. I genuinely tried once, including emailing them all the details, and they said "that's below our cost price" and flat-out refused to match or beat that price, end of story. Not "this doesn't qualify and here's why in our written T & Cs", because it was a real price at a real competitior. I was appalled by their dishonest marketing (lowest prices guaranteed or some slogan like that, what a crock), and have never used them again. This was a few years ago at the flight centre store in Ashfield, Sydney.

      • sounds like exact same story i had in melbourne. many companies do that though tweak one small feature and say, it no longer compares because it's not the same thing ( this banana is slightly less yellow so no price match :o )

  • That's less than the fees and charges associated with the ticket so they'd be taking a massive hit for every ticket sold. One can dream though!

    • +5

      Great! Spending Money!

  • Cost €32.72 EUR now??

    or equivalent to $52.87 AUD

  • Is a visa required to visit ? Scoot will check and deny boarding if u don't have it.

    • "Australian passport holders are normally allowed to enter Taiwan without a visa for up to 30 days (no extensions permitted) as long as they have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into Taiwan and a confirmed return or onward air ticket. For a trial period effective from 1 January 2015 to 30 June 2016. This period will be extended from 30 to 90 days."

      Also note:
In the typhoon season (May to November) flooding and mudslides are common. You should keep informed of regional weather forecasts and plan accordingly.

  • Is it possible to get similar prices outside of July, from Sydney? Anybody have any luck?

  • To good to be true when the airline itself is charging substantially more for the same fares (even the taxes alone are much more)?

Booked for AU$ 62.02. Received unconfirmed booking from edreams. even got business class PER-TPE. Waiting for refund :)

  • No Chance. I book at eDreams for a flight that was only 5% less than the carrier and they cancelled it for a price error and took 3 weeks to refund. People are dreaming if they think this will be honored! Don't expect an easy process for the refund.

  • Booking cancelled due to fare increase

    Received email confirmation at 4.29pm.

    Certainly not surprising.

    • ah well, it was hopeful I guess. Would have been too good to miss out on if it was honoured!

A bit of fun whilst it lasted!

        • Did you pay using paypal??

        • @Jojuntak:

yes. I've received a paypal notification that the money has been returned.

        • @ash2000:

I did the same thing as well. Pay with Paypal. How did you get the money back using paypal?
          cheers

        • @Jojuntak:

yes. Let's hope the AUD didn't go up during the time they had our cash.

        • @ash2000:
Is your money automatically been refunded using paypal?

        • @Jojuntak:

          yes.

        • This is false advertising then. Surely ACCC should prosecute Bravofly.

    • Which fare did you book?

      • SYD <-> TPE

Who knows, Perth to Taipei may be honored!

        • i booked SYD <-> TPE too :(

        • @joeguana:

Maybe different dates will have better luck. I booked 21-30.

        • @ash2000:

Yeah i booked 23rd to 30th. We'll see what happens. No email as yet.

    • Yet to receive any emails…oh well. Expected

  • Hoping there's a few happy ozbargainers posting here soon about their trips
    Good luck.

Bravofly is too funny, they cancelled the booking due to the card problem.

Thank you for your reservation request with Booking ID 711xxxxx.

Here at Bravofly we take Cardholder Security very seriously.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, our Security System was unable to securely verify all the details of your card and as a result the booking has been cancelled.

Shortly you will receive a further communication regarding why there may still be a transaction pending on your card and clarification on the temporary credit limit system used for processing payments.

Should you require further assistance please contact us on our Customer Service*.

They also sent me that email and I paid with PayPal!

They've updated their prices now…..$4xx is the cheapest fare now.

      • Book with Edreams ;) They're still $110 odd

      • -1

Bravofly is playing dirty tactics in order not to honor flights. This is criminal what they are doing.

        • Lol, as if there was ever going to be a different outcome.

        • They are not an Australia company, aren't they?

  • "We regret to inform you that due to technical difficulties it has not been possible to confirm your booking"

    • I got the same thing. Yeah right

      • +1

        Not. Happy. Jan.

Actually I dont really care, all these cheap fares are sending me broke :/.

        • Yeah, now I'm kind of glad that I don't have to spend a week in my honours year to travel just because the plane ticket is cheap

    • Yep, I got mine cancelled as well overnight from Bravofly as per below:

We regret to inform you that due to technical difficulties it has not been possible to confirm your booking, with ID 711XXXXXX.

Your payment order has been successfully cancelled. Depending on method of payment used, the amount may be temporarily blocked, possibly lasting up to several days. Shortly you will receive further notification with the relevant details.

Now I've got to wait for the refund back onto my credit card…

  • edreams.com is a dodgy website.

read this before you give away your credit card details

lmao it would be funny to see a bunch of ozbargainers on the same flight.
No doubt we will all be notified of an error.

  • +1

Oh damnn! Missed it! My parents was talking about how much they want to visit Taiwan this morning!

    • a dream come true!

  • I also got a cancellation email. Not surprised as it was an error.

  • So a late follow up… but just checking to see if everyone's booking was eventually cancelled and money refunded?

    • cancelled.
