Note that with the softcover set that I have (and the Little Miss collection as well) there is a lot of empty space at both ends of the box - the books don't take up that much space.

I'd recommend getting the paperback set instead, quite a bit cheaper and it doesn't matter for these books.
Target shows it for $10.50 down from $15 but are out of stock (and I'd be surprised if it was frequently available that cheap…)
