iPhone SE Best Deal? Gift Cards, Then Purchase? Any Discount Codes Anywhere?

iPhone SE Best Deal?

I don't see great variation in price - I believe as mandated by apple. So looking to think outside of the box.

Gift Cards, Then Purchase? Any Discount Codes Anywhere?

Good news, I am heading to USA and UK over the next month, so will get a chance to pick it up there if there is a great deal somewhere (our dollar sucks right now though)

    • check carefully when buying if the Model Number is

      Why?

      • Well the Original Post was asking about buying while overseas or from overseas and each Model Number and the corresponding information tells you the frequency ranges that the iPhone Handset will operate in and this can vary from one carrier to the next and from one country to the next.

What you might buy overseas might not work here (or work here less well).

        Best to check.

Also, sometimes phones bought overseas (esp. Grey imports) have to go back to place of purchase for Warranty because Apple don't always have the exact same model Handset here for a swap.

This happened to me with a phone from the USA and Apple Sydney didn't want to know.

        • Yeah, I understand that. I thought you'd offer an opinion on which would be preferred. But I guess that's not able to be discerned.

          Hi,

Well, purchase a Phone with respect to where you will be primarily living. If that is Australia, then most major carriers like Optus, Telstra or Vodafail will readily tell you.

Or you could use a site like:
          https://www.frequencycheck.com/
          to be sure…

So for A1662 Telstra it says:
Apple iPhone SE A1662 4G LTE 64GB (Apple iPhone 8,4) is compatible with 6 out of 7 bands on Telstra (Australia).

  • Check it out.
