    Isnt the DC45 @ TGG $298 a better deal vs DC35?

    • Won't to my TGG to grab my dysentery v6 I bought, and noticed their dc45 is $449.

      JB has their dc45 for 299

      • Ah thanks, I'd wondered where people were getting their dysentery from nowadays, modern medicine has made that much harder to find.
        Let me know if you find a good price on cholera.

  • The V6 has better suction than the DC35 correct?

    • Much better around 40%. These prices for entry level fossil Dysons are par for the course.

      • Cheers m8! Will keep waitig for a price drop on the V6 Absolute. Might grab the Good Guys deal but…time is on my side.

        • Can't see anything wrong with the vanilla v6 for $319 at the moment. Not sure if any of the extra tools are much value at all end up lost in the closet. Rather have a v6 for each hand than one absolute.

        • @sillyhead:
          My home is all hardwood and tile with two large rugs in the sitting rooms. I need the fluffy head AND the motor head. Unless i am mistaken the absolute is the only variant that comes with both. You cant buy the heads separate.

          @kfuerza:
          The motorhead will foul and jam on any shag pile rug. I don't see why you couldn't do tile and wood with the motorhead. 90% of what we vacuum with it is tile. Maybe go in store and get a demo. I would hardly think the fluffy tool would be worth the bother to change to. Plus it would get all Gross and get hair stuck to it. Any one with the absolute can provide info?

        • @sillyhead: How shaggy is the pile rug? As it works fine on shaggy rugs just depends on how really tall and shaggy the hair are.

          Tiles are fine with Motorhead as they are the most durable but wood floors all depends on the material, how old and if its polished well as the motorhead can give it scuff marks depending on the conditions.

          Both Heads will get hair stuck in them but only longer ones but you have the ability to remove it easily without unscrewing any special screws

          Thanks for this info all.
          My hardwood floors are polished and both the rugs are rather shaggy. I have to open the air valve on the meile vaccum to get the rotating brush moving on tje carpets.

          I had a look at tje fluffy head and it is my hopes that it will get the dust off the floors better than the brushes.

          @kfuerza:
          We had dark wood floor in our last house and you remind me of the dust issue, I had forgotten about that. I still think it's alot to pay for fluffy head but I guess if you need it. I would say any shag pile rug over 1 inch would jam the standard turbo head. We we one of those shag pile Ikea ones which is really shaggy.

        • @sillyhead:
          Yeah…im kinda forced into the absolute for my needs but…i have 100 visa gift card to use towards it so its just a matter of waiting for the right price drop.

          @kfuerza: Well then the sounds of it in terms of that kind of shag pile, only the Dyson DC65 can handle such a thing but obviously not worth the cost to buy if only to vacuum them.
          Yes the fluffy will as it has constant contact with the floor as it rotates.

        • [@cortex21]; @sillyhead:
          A sincere thanks to everyone for your advice and assistance.
