Was looking for a cheaper price than Target and found Big W were selling them for $52 each (opposed to Target's $55). Thought that was significant enough, especially for those buying both.

If you're a first-time buyer like myself, remember that both games are completely different experiences story wise. More importantly however, is Conquest is aimed at expert players while Birthright is aimed at everyone else (to the best of my understanding, my apologies if that's not 100% right).

Also, don't forget that if Big W isn't your cup of tea EB Games and JB HiFi will pricematch. That should either save you some petrol or earn you some carrots.

EDIT: Thanks to Max Power for pointing out that if you want both and don't care about physical copies, once you buy one of them you can purchase the other one digitally for $26 Australian (after getting a couple of chapters in).

    NB: you shouldn't actually buy both carts. It would be better to buy the other paths digitally.

        Because then your game will show as having all three paths in it, as opposed to having to swap carts. Also I think it's cheaper that way?

        You get the other paths for half price if you have one game originally.

          Thanks guys, this is the first time I have heard about this. Is this a time limited offer? i.e. you need to buy the second game via the first by a certain date? Reason I am asking is that I usually take my time to play these games and don't want to miss out on the discounted price.

          Looks like it might be wise to cancel my collector's edition then..

          @Innamura: if you preordered from jb it should be 99 dollars. Dunno about eb though. In other words, make sure you check the price before you cancel!

    So do you have to buy both games to get the full experience. Yes, but you don’t have to get both cards if you don’t want to. You might see both Birthright and Conquest in stores but after a certain time in either game (chapter 6) you can then download the other version in the in-game menu for a healthy discount of $26AUD.

      So the special edition isn't really worth is as it costa $130 for all three.

      $52+26+26(?)= $104

      It is quite debateable that a small art book and poster is worth $26.

        Just really depends if you want a physical copy since it's the only way to get all 3 on one cartridge.
