Wait, the DVD cost more than the Blu Ray?

    • +3

I bet they've accidentally coded the prices the wrong way around. $18 for DVD and $25 for Blu-ray are the usual new release prices.
So get in quick before they correct it.

      • Clicked into this post to say the same thing. This won't last long.

        • +1

Nope. Both are $18. Only the dvd was incorrect. It is an introductory price so it'll last a week or so.

  • I know… Crazy

  • I thought it didn't get released until the 25th?

    • From another post

Was in JB earlier today and saw they had a bunch of Deadpool displays set up. Asked the cashier and she said Woolworths had broke the release embargo, so they are free to sell it now.

      • Not true. It was infact JB HiFi that broke the embargo. All stores selling Deadpool got an email saying JB broke it and there were going to be taking legal action against them and that everyone else can sell Deadpool early without legal implications since JB broke the embargo.

Oops sorry. I just voicing out how bad it was only. No specific targets.

  • Just picked up in forest hill, $18 dollars. But BigW took it off the shelf, since they have the 30% offer

    • Don't know why you were downvoted. Forest Hill Big W has indeed removed the blurays. Friend works there and he said he'd get it for me but it's 25. Happy I went to check work first and got it for 18! (I went big w cause Target is rarely ever cheaper…)

Just bought it from Target Knox. Get in quick as i would assume it will be corrected overnight.

    • It's not an error. All the shelves including a Deadpool stand are all labelled $18. Good on ya Target, you very rarely have a Bluray deal but when you do it's awesome.

  • I this for real - $18 on Bluray at Target ? ? ? ? ?

And it's not a pricing error

UPDATE: I guess so. WE have one of those tiny country Tragets and I just went back down there after reading this - $18 on Blu or dvd - Complete Bargain.

  • :( can't make it there now, hopefully it remains the same tomorrow… Melb CBD Target here I come :D

    • +1

Ofcourse I totally forgot to ask how long but the girl behind the counter said some of the new releases are cheap for the first week. It's certainly not a price error - there are $18 stickers everywhere.

  • Thanks OP :)

Target Macquarie Centre still have stock on shelf, albeit not a huge volume.

  • Picked mine up from Target North Lakes, thanks OP!

  • Isn't the Australian version censored? (can never be sure with Australian releases)

I checked the Classifications site and it has it listed as "modified". http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=Pk3%252…

Whereas the UK version appears to be uncut… http://bbfc.co.uk/releases/deadpool-video-4

    • I think that just means it has extras, compared to the theatrical. Eg it says the same on The Force Awakens home video release.

        Thanks!

Called my local store just before they closed. It's a pricing error, so it won't be $18 tomorrow :(

        • Ah damn I was going to go first thing this morning on the way to work.

        • @Mobe1969: Well it is scanning at $25 today.

I'm kind of miffed now missing this and the BigW one. So I'll wait.

        • @Mobe1969: Hornsny NSW still had display up front with $18 labels. Scanned at counter $25, girl apologies when I mentioned label, checked display, and went with the $18. Always worth a crack first-thing in the morning. Sorry I can't comment directly to the post (?)

        • @Cheapkiwi:
Yeah it didn't work for me. The shelf labels were fixed in Brisbane cbd, and the staff were aware.

        • +1

@Mobe1969: Try Target Camberwell, they just honoured it

  • Just bought one from target Knox, there was still a few on the shelf. Staff member confirmed that it was a pricing error

  • $19 DVD at big W

  • +1

FYI, went to Target Melbourne Centre this morning and the Blu Ray now scans at $25 :(

    • Yep, they changed the signs :(

  • +3

FYI guys, Target Camberwell still honoured the $18 price if you want one!

    • :-(
Tomorrow I will try my luck there :P

      • All the best mate! So just FYI, first I tried to price match with Big W but the service person said it has to be on a printed catalogue for price matching to happen, then I said so would you do $18 like yesterday's price and he said, that he can do. Done!

        • Cheers, I will give it a go :-)
