Where to Buy CR2032 Batteries?

Where is the best place to buy CR2032 batteries?

eBay has many cheap ones, it even has cheap ones described as "genuine Energizer" but I have no way of detecting non-genuine Energizer…it is odd that the 4 for $6 genuine Energizer has a pictured pack with inexplicable differences in font, layout etc to the picture on Officeworks.

At Officeworks, they are 4 for $11.97 or, as they helpfully (but incorrectly) note, $2.99 each.

Last time I bought 10 for $10 from Kogan, but I'm getting RSI from replacing them too often, so ideally want some with staying power…

The ones from Ikea are ok.

  • Brought this one (similar) last time: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/272135518180
Go overseas seller if you want more cheaper.

Works well. Anyway I use it in Weighing scale and car-key.

Its over one year and none need replacement yet. So works well.

PS: Check expiry date with seller before buying; should have at least 2 years.

http://www.aliexpress.com/af/cr2032.html - can get 5 for under $2 or a bulk lot of 50 for under $10 delivered. OK you may still get RSI replacing the things, but I've actually had decent luck with them. One or two might be duds, but in general they'll last as long or at worst maybe 75% as long as a local brand job. For a fraction of the cost, I'm willing to live with that. Biggest issue is you need to plan ahead - expect them to take at least 4 weeks to arrive.

If you're feeling flush with money, you can always find brand name batteries (like Panasonic, Maxell, or Sony) online for maybe around the $0.50 mark per battery based on getting 20 or so….. possibility they may be fake, but whatever.

As an aside, you can also get LIR2032 rechargeable batteries. Good if you're putting them into something that sucks a lot of power (like a light) rather than something that has a low power drain (like a remote or set of scales).

I bought these from aliexpress 50 for US$6.33.

I used to rebuild a lot of PCs and had various house hold devices that required CR2032 batteries. They are good.

    • Yep. Can be used to make throwies as well*.

The other day I noticed that The Reject Shop has a $5 pack that includes 2 CR2032 (plus 2 CR2025 and two different sized 12 volt remote alarm batteries as well as an assortment of other small cells). I have no experience of their quality, but at that price it could be worth a try, although if you don't want all the others in the pack it could be a waste.
Most "$2" shops have single cells.
K mart also have 2 Energisers for $5 and 4 "Performers" also for $5
Jaycar have Panasonics for $4.95 each

I know aliexpress, cheap and free shipping, really best place to buy small gadgets. you can try search on Aliexpress and then get what you want.

  • bit late, but last time i bought batteries i used RS online? cost me about $5 for 2 round batts but what reaaaally impressed me was that they used Toll delivery, no one answered the door on first go, and I could actually manage to successfully get it redelivered the next day. that delivery cost would have wayyy exceeded what i paid for my purchase.. and they sent it in a medium sized box with those air bags and placed the batteries on the top haha.
