  • I can vouch for them being legit.
Good products, cheap price, good customer service.

Nightbreakers, while definately brighter, last about 1/3 as long as normal bulbs. 3 times the price, last 1/3 as long. Its a dream come true for the makers. But they do offer more light.

Personally Id use something like Hella plus 50s. But all will be cheating on voltage to boost the brightness, at the expense of longevity.

  • The blue tint from those bulbs degrade visibility, people think whiter as brighter but its not.

Also you will get better performance from a thicker gauge relay harness than the most expensive legal headlights you can buy.

Through thin gauge wire you will only get about 10 volts to the headlights when the alternator is putting out about 13.2-14.5 volts.

A standard 1000 lumen bulb will give out 510 lumens at 10.5 volts and the same bulb will give out 1528 lumens at 14.5 volts.

You can usually probe the back of the headlights while they are turned on to find out how many volts you are getting to see how much you will gain from a relay to the headlights, more info: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/relays/relays.html
