  • whats the difference compared to intel nuc?

    • Not much other than design. This one comes with 64GB storage built in, along with 4GB RAM, neither of which the NUC (barebones) has. The J3160 in this one is on par with the Pentium N3700 NUC as far as performance. This also comes with Windows 10, worth a fair bit on its own if it's activated.

You seem to be saying it comes with a Windows 10 license. True?

Good hardware specs, a bit like a Chromebox.

^^ question is the windows 10 licence activated? Good price if so.

I don't think these companies should be able to offer things for pre-sale on ozb

I have no problems if they advertise when the are available for immediate ship

does expected 10 June they are available for sale definitely on 10 June? No
What happens if they aren't available until 20 July, nothing
then shipping is how long, could be August by the time they are delivered

What other companies on here sell things on here pre-sale not many

If you think I've been stung by this you would be correct although not this business

    • Very good point

And in my experience geekbuying.com will ask you for extra money once the pre-buy comes in stock.

        See that's not on

I fail to see how this sort of thing helps the community

I reckon these most of these presales are just spam. If it's new, how can it be a deal?

Specs look better then the newer Intel compute stick, I worried about the windows license and build quality.

    • Also a good little media player. but not the same, different CPU, and not able to upgrade the ssd or memory size.

"The mini PC is pre-loaded with Windows 10 (most certainly not activated at that price), and is said to support Windows 7/8.1, but it will most probably run Linux distributions just fine too. [Update: GeekBuying told me Windows 10 was activated, but it must be a different license than products like MINIX NGC-1, for which the company paid around $80 for the license."

    ???

    • they paid much less than $80 for the license ….. hence 2GB ram and 32 bit so it doesn't chew into NUC market.

What will be interesting with this one is it's 64 bit windows 10. I have 2 mini PCs, all have legitimate windows 10 … although all are 32 bit and only 2GB ram ….. no substitute for a NUC i3.

It was a deal done to compete with the 2GB android TV boxes.

the 19V power supply is a bit of a turn off though …. the mini PCs I have are std 12V.
