Microsoft Office Professional Version 2007 OR 2010 Only ~ WHERE to Buy Genuine Copy Please?

Hi, everyone :)
Total newbie to posting so please be kind to me lol ;)
WHERE can I buy a genuine version of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 OR 2010 please?
Have found a lot of dodgy sites via Google :(
NOT interested in Office 365 or 2016 versions.
Fingers crossed the OzBargain wizards can work their magic!
Thank you x

I believed Office 2007 and 2010 is pretty much obsoleted. However you can still purchase Offie 2013 from your local computer stores such as MSY, if you are not interested in Office 365 or 2016.

    • MSY don't have any stock available but thanks for the referral :)

  • If you work for a big company (or know someone that does) … lots of 'big' companies have a 'home use program' with microsoft. Should be able to find the link on the intranet site somewhere.

I think it's about $10 to download a legit copy from microsoft website.

Home use program will give you Office Professional Plus 2016 for $15.

Many big companies use Volume Licensing though. Great way to get hold of a key with 100 activations ;)

Interesting … doesn't seem to be an easy way to get older versions with this route.

Great way to get yourself fired … better off looking on torrent sites in your private time.

That all depends on the management.

        • Most big companies would be using KMS so good luck getting that key to work outside their corporate network anyway

    Why not just use LibreOffice?

It takes getting used to however.

    • its not the same as microsoft office

It's pretty darn close, and you can't argue with the price…

        • Just don't go to Harvey Norman. They'll sell it for $199 ;)

        • @Clear: LOL, it's probably a laminated card with the web address of FileHippo…but don't forget the Monster Cable & extended warranty! ;)

  • Thanks for all the great advice everyone :)
Unfortunately, as I don't work for a big corporation and don't have a student email address, none of the above work for me…
Surely, there must be somewhere that sells Microsoft Office Professional somewhere????
Can't believe the scarcity; like trying to find spare chocolate in a women's locker room lol :)

      Reddit Microsoft software swap subreddit
Buy at your own risk and discretion

      • Look like dodgy volume license providers :(
Not sure of the authenticity of these ~ Maybe pirates lol ;)

      • of course it's dodgy, ask them for a receipt and these sellers will bugger off immediately

  • Kmart

  • Can you explain why you need 2007 or 2010, rather than a newer version?

I don't understand either. I have both Office 2010 and Office 2016 installed on my current PC, and their user inteface is very much alike.

Yeah, there's obviously a reason for it, but until she tells us, she's likely to get more of the "just get 2016" without actually answering her question.

OP specifically asked for Pro version so can guess OP wants MS Access

a lot of things were dropped from Access 2010 > 2013

        • @humdingaling:

          Am after:
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access :)

          Am after:
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher and Access without a $500+ price tag x

  • Not the pro version but here is a copy of MS Office Home & Student 2007 for 3 home PCs

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Office-Home-and-Student…

another one from same seller i guess

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Office-Home-and-Student…

  • What about eBay. Here for $150 in Aus. There are other sellers but I would proceed with caution, as a lot of them have no feedback. Even the one I linked only has very little experience, so pay with PayPal if you decide to go for it.

  • Gumtree?

Otherwise if no joy and you have a newer version, documents can be saved and opened in compatible older version.

    • Only found digital delivery on Gumtree so far :(
Some dodgy sellers making claims that they have opened versions which have never been used… um okay… not! lol
Only have Office Starter, installed when I bought laptop, so can't upgrade without buying latest version which is 365 version, when I click the upgrade link. Not interested in paying ongoing monthly cost.

  • I was after 2007 and 2010 because I thought they would be cheaper (embarrassed smile) ~
Now realizing that later versions would be a better choice!
So where did you get your versions from scrimshaw? Just don't want to pay $500+ which is all I have been able to find for the later versions.
Really appreciating all the feedback ~ :)

    • I have office 2010 because I paid the student price for it

Office 2016 is from UTAS, a free course that I signed up for, its probably a temporary license that will expire once I 'graduate'

As past deals have mentioned before the cheapest ways to obtain a license is

      1. HUP program if eligible
      2. Buying from a retail store like Officeworks and then getting the cashback from M$
      3. Buy a device that includes office 365 such as laptop or tablet (actually the most expensive method, but hey, you get a tablet!)
      4. Buy from reddit
