        Huh?

Actually, the equation for ChemistWarehouse price match price is
    $4-((8.99-4)*10%)=$3.50 ;-)

Thanks tonester, I'm stocking up - great price, confusing deal title (now tidied up a bit).

Chemist warehouse are stocking a brand call enya. Sells about $3.99 I think it's a litre. Have tried one, seems ok.

Used the QV products for 15 years as recommended by my dermatologist.

I thought a product re-evaluation was worth a Google and tried this CeraVe brand and have seen noticeable improvements to my skin:

Not sure where stocked. I bought on eBay.

    • I'm an eczema sufferer, severe one.. Thanks for the info. Will look it up

      • I will try, also an eczema sufferer.

I tried ceraVe face cleanser nothing special tbh.

Willing to try anything to keep my eczema to a minimal

      • On second thought will pass.

Some bad reviews on Amazon, in particular the eczema soothing body wash (cerave)

    • -1

Had a look on Amazon for Cerave and read some reviews that say their products contain Parabens which are banned in Australia by the TGA. It's a contentious issue whether Parabens can cause cancer or not, so it's up to each individual to buy or not. However, if you're allergic to Parabens then avoid this product.

  • I've just started using Dermaveen made with Colloidal Oat, sort of like Aveeno but not so much chemicals. QV, Dermaveen Alpha Keri, Aveeno all about the same price like $16 ballpark for 1 litre.

    • I've just started using Dermaveen made with Colloidal Oat, sort of like Aveeno but not so much chemicals.

they have similar ingredients afaik - main difference is dermaveen is aussie-made/owned, aveeno is j&j

QV, Dermaveen Alpha Keri, Aveeno all about the same price like $16 ballpark for 1 litre.

      qv is 1.25l :)

      • That 1.25 is a Chemist warehouse only special with the words chemist warehouse special printed on the bottle that cannot be sold elsewhere.

        • +1

why buy elsewhere or anything else? :)

btw hope you use dermaveen extra gentle not daily nourish - latter contains sulphate

        • @tonester:

lol i just replied above and then read this!! oh well, I'll make sure to buy extra gentle next time..

Edit: are you sure? looking here it doesn't look like it? https://www.reddit.com/r/AusSkincare/comments/27r8ue/some_de…

Edit 2: yes, you are correct I just checked the container itself says Sodium Laureth Sulfate…

  • Chemist Warehouse on Oxford St Darlinghurst has been cleaned out. Thanks OP.

  • Is this really much better than Radox shower gel?

    • ingredients?

qv gentle wash is a good moisturising skin/body wash for sensitive skin: 15% glycerin, sulfate- and fragrance-free :)

      • How do you know if your skin is sensitive? I don't think mine is. Does that mean any brand-name supermarket shower gel will do?

        • it's sensitive if irritated by normal/everyday products, but something like qv gentle wash is good for anyone who wants healthy skin :)

        • My dominatrix says my skin is very sensitive. Ask yours ;-)

    • Radox is not a dermatologist recommended product for people with sensitive skin. The creme we are talking here is creme de la creme which always rises to the top.

      • So if my skin is not sensitive then there's not much discernible difference between the two products?

        • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3736708/redir - try them to compare and discover the difference :)

        • @tonester: Seriously, how would I discover the difference if I couldn't tell the different or haven't had any issues with any of the ones I've used over the years? Would my skin start glowing after the shower? Sounds like too much trouble hunting for a low stock product with questionable benefits.

        • @elektron:

how do you know if you couldn't tell the difference if you haven't tried? :)

not sure about glowing but 15% glycerin might make your skin softer and smoother :)

it's not a low stock product but available at all pharmacies/chemists :)

        • @tonester:

I have tried different bodywashes / showergels over the ears including pricey ones but have not noticed any difference. But then I don't suffer from dry or flaky skin.

There's plenty of messages in this deal saying that the stock has been "cleaned out" or "none left" at many stores - that sounds like "low stock" to me. That's why I said that it sounds like too much trouble for little or no benefit. But that's just me - if it makes a difference to your skin and you were able to score this product at at a great price, awesome for you! :)

  • Have you ever tried to do a price match with Chemist Warehouse?

I took one issue right to Fair Trading and they still would not price match.

    • I did, ended up $3.50 a bottle.

      • $3.5 as well

    • I was surprised how easy it was. Just said I wanted a price match & showed PriceLine price on the phone. No problems despite multiple purchase, couldn't have been easier. Staff member was very happy to help. $3.50 ;-)

      • bought 3 for $3.50 each at chemist warehouse as well :) still 10+ left at chatswood store

  • Thanks OP.

One left at Brisbane Adelaide St

  • None left Derrimut store

  • Chemist warehouse at Adelaide st Brisbane won't price match because she called one Priceline store that doesn't have any in stock so can't price match.

This policy cannot be applied to products at the other company if they are out of stock, short dated, on clearance, on sale or discontinued.

So before going in, make sure you call around Priceline stores. That checkout chick wasn't the friendliest neither. Good luck all.
