    "barista crafted coffees". What an insult to a real barista. Just as hideous as Mcdonalds calling itself a restaurant

      To be fair, making coffee using an expensive machine isn't the hardest thing in the world. And McDonald's started out like Grild did, and got so popular it created an empire

    I think this may be up to individual operators. I stopped in to a donut king this morning and was told I had to have a special voucher to get a freebie. He then showed me his stack of vouchers and said there were only a hundred or so distributed. I assume this is basically bs but don't be too surprised if your local balks the way mine did.

    Ah well, my waistline is the better for it.

    Ok coffee & sugary donut at Westfield Carindale, level 1 (old) food court by KFC. 3 staff, no queue at moment.

    Got mine no problems at Deagon QLD. Not a single other person in the store, and they gave me a full size doughnut, not mini.

    Donut King is an enigma. Chains like McDonalds - that serve desserts and actual food - are introducing healthy alternatives in a response to modern-day trends, while DK franchises are proliferating in my area, despite selling nothing more than donuts, sundaes, hot dogs and coffee.

    They've got signs up advertising as such.

    Thanks! Was just about to head out to grab ingredients for dinner and my local shopping center has a DK. No issues getting the freebies - they even had bunting and big signs advertising it and one of those vip rope things to help ppl queue.
