$700 for a computer graphic card and you call it cheap ?

    Waaaaa……

    • +1

It's cheaper than others by $30

    • +2

yes, this may appeal to hardcore gamers

    • +2

look at the specs of the card not just the price. please use your brain.

  • Not sure about the brand?? inno3D?

  • +1

inno3d is just a generic brand… 1 year warranty etc just a standard card.

$719 usually so no huge savings

  • +1

1% off? Doesn't list original price? This is spam, not a bargain.

    • 699$ from 719$ isn't 1% its near 3% and staticice has it for lowest 725$, second lowest 746$. And these are all NSW stores. So it ain't that bad for someone in Victoria who wants to buy this particular brand.

  • Not a bargain.

Mod: Not a legitimate reason to vote negative. Please look at voting guidelines.

Please include a proper description of why you are voting negative. Votes accompanied by unclear reasons or inaccurate reasons may be revoked. eg +1, yea, …. ?? etc

    Vote Revoked

    • How is $30.00 off supposed to satisfy the criteria of ozbargain of offer products at 'true bargains' and I find it strange that you as Mod reply to my post in this thread where I have never seen you interfere anywhere else. Affiliated much with the onlinecomputer much?

Under $599.00 Delivered from the US, this is just one of many examples.

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Galaxy-80XLH5HS8GUX-GeForce-GTX-480-F…

I want my neg vote reinstated.

      • I was not the mod who deleted your negative vote, but would have - why when I agree with your comments now? did you see my response to lazed? exactly the same point only $30 on a $700 item.

Did you read the Wiki that was mentioned when Your vote was revoked???

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

Guess not otherwise you wouldn't be flaming the mods like you are.

        Very simple .

Explain your negative vote so people can understand why you voted that way. That is supporting the community. That way people know what the negative vote means.

Not a bargain on a bargain site can mean anything so its meaningless. Look at eviltom his vote stood even though the 1% calculation was incorrect. So much for mods being Biased

Your later comments are VERY meaningful but these were made after the vote was revoked. Simply put, if you had done this first then the vote would have stayed.

Not personal BUT for us mods this is very frustrating. People join a community and dont spend the time looking at the way the community expects people to behave. We have exactly the opposite issue with lazed demanding we remove a negative vote from someone who gave clearer reasons why they voted negative than you did.

Hope you understand now what the point is here. As for the accusation about being affiliated and not taking action like it was, suggest you look around, mods have been consistently doing this. But like the Highway Patrol we don't catch every offense.

Also go to the forums where the negative vote points are being discussed, and make suggestions not accusations there.

Hahahaahaha $700 on a graphics card!! imagine using that money you can buy a new Plasma screen (Small one of course) and a Xbox…mmm…

Horses for courses. You may have no need for a higher-end graphics card, but that doesn't mean nobody does. It's analogous for burying a PS3 bargain for being more expensive than a 360.

    • +2

look at the specs you goof.

      • -1

The problem here is that one persons deal isn't another's as you know yourself

to quote "$1 off a $3 useless item at the Reject Shop is not a bargain mate sorry"

So $30 off a $700 graphics card doesnt look like much of a bargain to others - sorry

Maybe if its not a deal to either of you you can just let it go…

        • +1

the problem is when you get people like homersyd who neg a deal on here because in their opinion $700 for a graphics card is completely outrageous, completely disregarding its place in the market with its high specs aimed for harcore gamers. if you read his reason for the negative vote its because he thinks you should buy a tv and xbox instead of a top end video card. i'm not in any way defending this deal, i do think his neg vote is pretty irrelevant. if his negative vote is somehow justified should i go and neg vote every product that is listed on ozbargain that is out of my price range because there is a cheaper and lower performance product available ??

          • @lazed: Exactly, but as mods we are in a hard place here Slammed for taking action and slammed for not. One persons deal isnt always another's. My example is that you did something similar to that with the reject shop deal, by judging that $1 off a $3 product wasn't a bargain (30% vs 4% here)

When we start judging the "validity" of a negative vote we do so on the basis of the wiki, which previously I have asked people like yourself to look at before using the negative vote.

Let me know where in the guidelines that this is invalid and I can take away the negative vote.

            http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

All that said - commonsense with negative voting is something we ask everyone here to look at. Unfortunately when CS doesnt apply and if we get people negative voting on every deal that doesn't suit them, then we will have to abandon CS and maybe take away negative voting, which has negative implications for all.

CS is that if a deal isn't for you, then leave it alone for those it is. In this case homersyd probably would have been wiser to do so. And as I indicated in reference the reject shop deal (as an eg only, note we never took away that or made comments on that before), maybe the same comment would apply.

Having a need for a high end graphics card at $700 with a $30 saving, to me personally isnt a great saving or bargain. But since I am not in the market for one I leave the vote alone. It's not my job even as a mod, to make sure that people get a bargain. We are just an avenue for people to find and do their own evaluation. (Scams and spam excepted)

And at the same time why wouldn't you have criticised eddypiper who gave a response which mods deleted, with No reason? The point is that with a reason at least people can evaluate why and make intelligent decisions, where as no reason means no one can evaluate why.

            • @[Deactivated]: I think you're still missing my point - homersyds neg vote was purely because it's out of his price range and he has no use for a high spec'd video card, not because of the discount being offered in this listing. If I neg vote the next high spec'd $2k laptop that gets listed on here because a $1k laptop should be sufficient for most people then I'm sure my vote would get deleted, so not sure why homersyds one still remains with no real justification.

With my reject shop comment, a bit of common sense needs to be applied, how could you not feel that listings like that are mostly pointless especially when taking into account the trivial price and saving (don't look purely at saving ratios) and the mostly novelty usefulness of the product :)

              • @lazed: Exactly, its all a matter of opinion - but rather than debate the negative vote issue here, and issue that is real, do so in the forums, that way it has more effect and coverage BUT please read the wiki, you haven't indicated that you have done this.

  • MSY are selling these all standard at $699 - I just warn people of the extreeme heat and noise the GTX 470 and 480 generate. Tweaktown have a few reviews of these cards - They are powerfull but not worth the $$$

  • This deal is ok. it's cheapest compared to the price from staticice.
There are always someone in this world want a higher-end graphics card and afford to buy it.
It just like a $10K off for a 680K Ferrari you can neg it and say you rather buy 30x Toyota…

  • True.
A graphics card of this calibre is NOT something you'll call value for money.
    It's $699 @ Fluidtek.
    I won't call $4 a big saving.
You must be retarded if you're going to compare it to the best "bang for buck" gaming card and whinge about the non-linear performance gain.
