Free shipping included on the code. Thanks!

  • Thanks OP!

  • +1

YES, thought it would never come back!! THANK YOU OP!

  • Finally!

  • Much thanks!

  • +4

Does anyone know when this will end?

  • +1

I just made 4 orders. There's no limit to the number of separate orders you can make. Good find OP!

  • Thank you

  • +1

Yes finally, lucky only got 3months supply from previous 150 deal.

  • +1

I wear dailies maybe 1-2 times a fortnight and usually buy the AcuvueTrueye as they are apparently less irritating. As i dont use contacts often enough for my eyes to get used to them, i thought that would be a good thing.

Does anyone have similar contact use and changed to a cheaper product and happy with the results?

    • +3

how do you feel about the Acuvue Trueye?
I would suggest get some Acuvue Moist ($26 per box of 30) to try out. (may be pop down to your optometrist and ask for some samples)
I actually found the Moist are more comfortable than the Trueye.
I think its quite subjective to be honest. Get some to try out.

      • +1

It takes me about 20min for my eyes to get used to them (i think its because i wear glasses most of the time)

But after that i can wear them for the rest of the day ie 16hrs
I'll be asking to a sample next time i go in for check up and be able to make a comparison myself

      • +1

I agree, I tried both Moist and TruEye and preferred to moist because it was thinner than the TruEye,which I could feel everytime I blinked.

    • +2

For me, I used Acuvue Moist for years but I found it quite irritating and dry to wear for long periods. My eyes would become super red.

My optometrist then recommended Acuvue Trueye and I have been using this ever since. I can wear these for longer periods without the level of dryness and redness vs. Acuvue Moist.

Also depends on your eye - the lens fit makes a difference. I found that Acuvue Trueye fits better and hence feels more comfortable.

      • +2

I've used both and the glaring difference that I can also tell is that the TrueEye ones are firmer than Moist making it a lot easier to put on my eyes at least and for lengthy ie. longer day usage, comfort level is also better with the TrueEye. Again this is from my own experience.

    • +2

I use both the TruEye and Moist. I find the TruEye slightly more comfy, although the extra costs. Both of them are quite good products I think. I used cheap Focus Dailies a few years back and found I always had a lot of defective ones and they tore easily. So I'd avoid those ones.

    • Thanks for the suggestions and i will definitely be grabbing a sample from the optometrist during the next visit.

I ended up ordering the Trueye this time round since they've been fine in the past.

    • +4

Main difference between trueye and moist is the material used. Moist uses an older hydrogel material which holds more water (more comfy) but lets through less oxygen. Trueye is opposite; a newer silicon-hydrogel material - less water but more oxygen. Oxygen stops your cornea from having problems especially if you wear them all day. Definitely have a fit with your local optom if you want to change lenses.

      • Hi Lachie92, any idea on expiry date for both trueye & moist? Wear them occasionally so longer expiry would be great.

        • In general they're a couple of years unless you're really unlucky.

  • Cheers, got my normal re-supply!

  • fantastic, just on time. thanks OP.

  • Man I have been holding out for this one! Thanks!!

  • +2

Any idea who long said sale is for ?

  • Brilliant! I needed new contacts too! Worked perfectly, and I've put my private health claim in too!

  • Thanks, was waiting for this offer to come up :)

    • +2

My girlfriend has used it twice so far.. going for a third order. Probably going to get cancelled? lol

    • Where'd you find this mkheav?

      • After adding the code "COOL50" under the Checkout Securely button it shows your "Total savings today" click on the bullet point "$50 off $99 plus FREE delivery" and this shows you the T&Cs for the coupon "COOL50"

      • In the past what's happened with excess orders - do they manually cancel it? I hope not - I've ordered 4.

        • Last time I ordered 2x using the same code and account. Both purchases were honoured, but this was back in 2014, not sure if they cancel excess order since that time.

  • +1

    sharkroman the new hawksy!!!

    • Where is hawksy though?

  • +1

Damn, I've been waiting for this one for ages… I just bought a whole heap 2 weeks ago with the $50 off $150 offer…
I guess I'll be making another spend for the year.
    Thanks OP.

    • In the same boat but I can't because I've reached my $110 insurance cap sigh

  • +7

Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! I thought this deal was not going to return, I held out until a week ago and had to make do with 10% + free delivery as I couldn't wait any longer. Dammit!

Move along folks nothing to see here, just a grown man having an OzBargain tantrum.

    • In the same boat literally 2 days ago ordered some for 10% off! Just couldn't hold on any longer have had a pair of monthlies in for 5 weeks.

      • +1

I wear the monthly's longer than I should, I figure it is more like the "best before date" on food rather than a "use by". Optometrists might care to disagree with me :-P

        • +1

Thought it was a good idea until I read about the side effects.

          Here is just one example….
          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2687477/Student-goes…

        • +1

@deal88: Ok there is quite a big difference between wearing monthly contacts (in solution overnight and the container allowed to dry in the day) 1.5 x their intended wear period and keeping them in for 6 months and never taking them out like the person in the article! Hardly a comparable example.

  • … when one box costs $35

    -_-

    • +5

The box I want is $49! 1 left and 1 right is $98!

      ._.

  • Noooooo literally just ordered some 2 days ago as I kept holding off and best I could find was 10% off! ☹️

    • Same :(

  • Just stocked up, thank you!!

  • Cheers OP, just got myself 9 months supply!

  • YES finally thanks OP!!(:

  • Great timing, thanks.

    • I beg to differ…

  • How long till this ends? I am tempted to buy using my current power otherwise I'm going to get an eye test done tomorrow since i'll be stocking up a lot.

  • Thanks Shark, this is an amazing deal.

  • Good deal! Only if I could use contact lenses. Dry eyes don't allow me to wear contact lenses at all.

  • Legend. Thanks OP!

  • Ordered, thanks :)

  • $33 per box x3 = $99 - $50 = $49, awesome!!!

  • sweet, thanks OP

  • +2

Just stocked up 11 boxes = ~ 6 months worth with the remainder ($150) of my $250 yearly limit (AHM super extra's). Out of pocket = $8

    Thanks OP.

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Oh man, just made 9 months purchase last week under the $149 deal. Hasn't even been delivered yet. If not for my insurance cap will surely order again.
Anyone experienced their returns process before? XD

    • +1

I've returned an order before, at least a year ago now I think.
You wait for the purchase to turn up, return the item (free returns I think?), once they logged the return, then they process the refund.
My advise is to keep track of your return parcel, last time Australia Post almost lost my parcel, I called up Specsavers, they refunded believing that I have returned it, but they were yet to receive the item. Though I think the item did eventually turn up for them.

  • Thanks for the post, OP. Any tips on how to select Base Curve? I've never ordered contacts online before and am looking at the Acuvue Moist. The prescription page has options for a base curve of 8.5 or 9.0.

    • +1

You need a special contact lens prescription. Go see an optometrist at Specsavers and they will give you the right numbers. Don't just guess!

      • Thanks, I'll go see Specsavers.

  • I just switched from medibank to bupa. Could claim online purchase with medibank. Anyone know if I can claim thru bupa? I really don't need 2 pairs of glasses every year. ..

    • +2

Yes you can claim through bupa.

  • Ordered! Thanks for posting!

  • Thanks Op! made 2 orders.

  • +1

    Wow, thanks for sharing.

Just ordered $106 worth of contacts for only $56 :)

  • Just ordered $300 worth of lenses under the old deal which was still valid ($50 off on a $150 spend). Damn..

  • Thanks OP, yearly contact lenses ordered. 2 orders places.

  • +1

Hey - It's me. Jack Hawks… bit of a party pooper however. The $50 off $99 deal which is a ripper deal by all accounts was only meant to go live for 24 hours (we messed up - and we have a business to run!) - so we're going to pull the deal at 5pm today. yes - that's today. We let it run for 4 days and clearly plenty of you have a good crack. Thank you for that. But to ensure we can do something like this again - we're going to have to call it a day.
But until 5pm today - fill your boots!

    All the best
    Jack Hawks

    • +2

Any clue as to when the next one would be?

  • Bugger! I literally just got my new contact lens prescription tonight ready to order with this deal. Oh well, will have to use the $149 deal instead.

    • same here, but what the $149 deal?

  • holy shit just scrapped in before 5pm to get this deal. Thanks OP!

  • cries
The expiry date changed…. I was doing the good thing and going to get my eyes checked again first…

    • we did the same. saw the deal was still active in the afternoon, so decided to place some orders when we got home after work. wtf they ended it at 5PM, not 12am or 11:59pm.

  • No $50 off codes working at the moment…..
    Waiting for the next one……

  • Oh noooo, missed out, thought this was going to end next month! well, it would be too good to be true to last that long
Hoping the next deal is soon

    • same here.. pretty sure that's what it said at first.

  • Dammit. I just got back from getting my updated prescription! Should have just ordered it at OPSM there and then.

  • Has anyone received all of his/her orders?

    • Usually takes about a week. Plus there was the long weekend and the fact that they got smashed with orders.

I would expect to get mine by Friday this week.

    • Got all of mine yesterday

  • +1

crap was holding out until i got paid and now deal was pulled.

  • +1

Dang, could have sworn the expired date was much later.

    • Me too! Like 3 July??

    • It was 3/7 , if you check the revisions to the post it was expired early.😞

  • sigh waited so long for this, then it suddenly gets pulled a month before its expiry. Might as well just buy lenses from a reasonably priced retailer rather than waiting for the exorbitant retailers to go on sale.
