    $900 for a frigging router?
No price gouging here! How is this a deal?
Companies want you to think this is worth $1,000?
Great, I'll connect it to my 50/10 NBN - NO LAG!!

        Commodore 64?

The answer we were looking for was "What is Holden Commodore?".

No matter how much "Gaming" they add to the name, it ain't gonna do much for latency, that is largely out of anyone's control.

    • True. Going from an ordinary ASUS AX1800 router to the ASUS TUF-GAMING BE6500 router didn't improve my gaming ping at all. At least I only paid $293 for it on sale and not some thing rediculous like this.

A quick google and I find a cheaper one already lmao:

  • Why are you looking for this specific router? You run like a LAN party or something?

Can't imagine needing this in a home setting.

Why not just Ethernet cable if stability and latency is what you are after…cheaper, more reliable.

  • This is not a deal by any stretch of the imagination when you can get the Deco BE65 3-pack mesh system for $50 more: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/tp-link-deco-be11000-tri-…

  • Ethernet cable is like $10…

    • Agree. Gaming quality of experience is more dependent on low latency (for competition e-sport) and NBN being bottlenecks for latency. While you can't control NBN…other than pay for a speedy plan, locally…Ethernet offers reliability and lower latency than wifi ever will.

Here you are paying for wifi bandwidth, not necessarily wifi latency. A cheaper router with good software (I prefer Asus personally) that allows you to prioritize gaming traffic will suffice.

    But it has RGB

  • It’s only a matter of time before US restricts/bans sale of TP-link devices. Once they do, other five eyes members will follow.

    • lol.

  • Like the router but price is not great. There was a deal on Amazon last month for a Netgear Wifi7 BE18000 router for $494.
