  • Well this one says up to 250 sq m so might not give enough coverage. Would look into something with external antennas or a mesh (lowers bandwidth) How many of your devices need high speeds?

  • What happened to the 700S? it seems like they've stopped making it or is it just out of stock

    • RS 700s is facing a huge challenge from cheaper same level product of TP Link and Asus, and also from similar function product of themself (RS600), so the market presence is very cold to this product. Hard to simply sell a product hundreds bucks more just coz it is branded Netgear.

  • Is it okay to have modem in the garage? or has to be in the center of the property, which my case not possible. my nbn box and wifi modem is in the garage.

    • Yeah I have mine in the garage.. You can always use a Mesh System or repeater if need be.. Can depend on the walls, how far from the rest of the house etc.. Looks like lots of deals.. so far tossing up between google, asus and netgear. If you have a really bad signal go an Orbi or Google 2/3 Pack. That way you can have one in the garage and one in the house somewhere..

      • -2

Mesh is the worse. It made everything slow and increase latency and ping. I removed it.

        • Depends on how you are managing the backhaul. Dedicated Wired Backhaul recommended if not a 5GHZ Band perhaps

    • Why not place your router inside and run a cable from the garage to router?

      • Thats what i asked whether it makes a difference or not. ?

        • You could keep it under your house if you wanted to, as long as it’s giving you the connection you expect it’s fine

  • Would be nice if could use both 10Gbit ports as LAN, and a 2.5 as WAN…

    Waste of having 10Gbit imo

    $494 now btw

Personally the Mercusys BE9300 Is the sweeter spot at $194.75 (they’ve been cheaper too), no wifi cards support over BE9300 yet. Unless you have many users heavily using the wifi it’s not worth going above BE9300 imo
