Not really, you'll catch on enough if you're familiar with the Greek gods though. Interestingly, Kevin Sorbo voices Hercules 👍

Yeah, when he appeared in the game something clicked that I knew the voice, kind of felt weird killing Hercules and all I got was a silver trophy lol
I played them in the order: 3, 1, 2 and Ascension.
Can't say it really mattered. Sure there is an ongoing story but it's not critical to the gameplay in any hugely meaningful way other than somewhat outlining why Kratos is so pissed off. Just do a read up on Wikipedia or whatever and you'll be up to speed in five minutes….a story driven RPG this is not. From memory no one you meet hangs around for too long anyway.

I watched a side by side comparison on YouTube between the PS3 and PS4 versions.
Honestly I couldn't spot any differences.
i picked it up from Target at $15 not long ago, well worth it. The opening level is awesome!
Got it for a fiver for the PS3 at the previous Target sale, so that would make it an extra $7 for the 60 FPS upgrade.
