I recently went from a mid tier Phillips. To a $99 shavershop special Panasonic. It's magic. I won't be looking back.

Can't see many reviews of this shaver

      • Not surprising given it appears to be a Japanese market model, as one of the reviewers stated the manual was only in Japanese.

    • ^yup. The $99 Japanese made Panasonic is worlds better than the Philips 830. Much stronger motor and the blades are better quality too. Yeh it'll set you back a good $80 to replace foil and cutters but just keep the blades maintained and you'll get good life. Also, if you have a tough growth, that Philips won't do u.. Only for lighter growths.

      • Can anyone see the differences between the one mentioned above and this one?

Both are made in Japan at 99 down from 289

        • Look about the same there is an older one on there with a flex head for $89 which I reckon is a great buy but there wasn't any in stock at my local store.

This one. I think it's an older model but it has a flex head.

I haven't really missed not having the flex head as it gives me more control to have a fixed head. But if there was one in stock I would have got it.

        • Same specs. They're running them down and replacing it with this one.

The bugga with these is the replacement head are soooo expensive (in oz) its cheaper to buy a new shaver! And the new style of heads dont work so good if you've missed a day.
