How do I sell my Velocity Frequent Flyer points?

Hi all,

I have 120,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer points and I'm looking to sell them to someone for $$$ but I don't know how it works.

Can anyone with some experience in this tell me how they went about it and what kind of risks are involved?

    Buy gift cards with them, then sell.

    I heard they were cracking down on non-family transfers (violation of t&c)

      Who takes on the risk with a non-family transfer? Would it be me as I'm the one transferring the points or the other person as they're the one receiving them?

      Do you happen to know what the consequences are if Velocity find out?

        I thought some where here was both ends lost out.
        point are removed from your account at the least.

    From my vast experience, it's risky to do family transfers to non-family members now, especially with large amounts.

    The next safest method is to redeem the points for flights on behalf of the person paying you. As long as you are sensible and don't do this to 6 different people in 2 days, you should be fine. I've done this both as a buyer and seller this year with no issues.

    Ideal situation would be to someone would could use the majority of it for one trip.

    The company "alpha flight guru" buy points and resell the tickets.
    Its a bit dodgy but they are still in business.

      I hear the going rate is $0.01 per point.

      so probably around there I guess.

      I'm not 100% sure whether I'd do it anymore to be honest haha
