Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headphones $119.2 @ JB Hi-Fi

160

It's an old model I know, but ~$120 for a logitech wireless gaming headphone is a steal. Personally had a G430, very happy with it, thought it would be a great opportunity to upgrade to a wireless one.

This model is better than the model that replaced it. I've had my G930s for about 2 years and not had a problem. There are reports of them breaking but I look after mine. They work in 5.1 for PC, stereo for PS4 and do not work on Xbox One.

This model is extremely famous for connection issues. I bought one last year and its keep disconnecting every 5 min, its only take about 5 second to reconnect but its really annoying. Also, i have found the sound is not really loud for something over $100++. If you can handle the connection drop then its a nice headphones.

    • Did you reinstall the driver/software or move the dongle closer to you?
Worked for me after having the same issues…

      • I returned it to jbhifi for full refund. The dongle was in front of me as i was using laptop at that time, i cant really remember about the drivers but i believe i did it and it didn't fix anything.

    • I've owned two pairs and never had the connection issues, the sound is also loud enough for me (i generally keep it at 100%, but 50% windows, so there's a lot of leeway) but this is just my personal experience.

  • Eh..really not that cheap for this model

As stated above, this headset has connection issues. My friend used to have this headset and every time we were on skype his headset would cut off and I could hear a beep sound every time it happened.

Maybe "wireless" for ears, but how about to the Microphone?

X-Box (both 360 and One) are notorious for not being able to have wireless chat. I mean, without a cable to the controller.

Note comments from Swankenstein above re: not compatible with Xbone!

  • I had the same model about 3 years ago, and also had the same dropout problems. It uses 2.4ghz, so if you've got a lot of Bluetooth/WiFi traffic near you, then that could be causing the problem. Plus, the battery isn't replaceable, so when it dies the headphones die.

The battery is replaceable I have done it 2 times in the last 3 yrs for mine. A lot of the drops out people are talking about come down to a dead or dying battery or interference. My old microwave used to make mine dropout I moved the receiver and it fixed it up.

If yours is dropping out even when it is on charge try your phone charger to charge/power it.

I have 2 G930 in the house and they are working great after a new battery and using a better charger.

I got my Battery from here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Replacement-Battery-700mAh-3-7-Vo…

      • How are you finding the battery life after replacing the battery?

        • I get about 5 or so hours out if before I have to recharge it.

      • I agree with the above statement.

When my headset starts dropping out, it's time to charge. Goes away once you plug it in. I could change the battery to get rid of the issue but it's not a big deal. Just keep the thing charged up

I have had these for a number of years now and have never had any problems except having to replace the ear-cup pads

  • Two in the house. One with constant drop outs the other always fine. I would direct $120 elsewhere.

  • I have had mine for over 4 years and I think they are great. Replaced the battery about a year ago but have since updated to the G933.

  • Had the wired model for years. Only complaint is if it gets heavy use the fake leather on the ear cups peels off. Other than that damn good headphones.

    • buy some off ebay for a few bucks

  • have mine for nearly 5 years now and this thing just doesnt want to break.
will upgrade to the newer model after my one lets go.

  • Yep, these are good headphones. I've had mine for over 4 years now and they're still performing well. Battery isn't holding up as well as it used to, had to replace the ear cups too but they're still great. Well worth the money

  • Get the wired model rather than the wireless one. I have been using the wired model for years and it's still in good condition except for the ear buds started peeling off (This is probably the only issue with this model), BUT you can buy spare ear buds from ebay for dirt cheap.

  • I purchased two of these when they were $159 from JB, both had connection WiFi Drop Outs. Have fixed them however by setting the auto power off setting to a Huge number. I have large head and find these very comfortable, also use AD700 and haven't used them in ages now as wireless is so convenient.

Friend has the new model and old, my head shape I find the old ones much more comfortable.
