  • Please explain.

edit - don't bother… I just took a look at coffee tables on the website. 7 types available, 6 of them over $1,000. One of them (in black) for $568.

Register your eligible Amex. Spend more than $500 at the store in question, in one transaction, on said Amex. Receive $250 cashback.

Had a look at the goods… no wonder they can afford to give so much cashback, those products are insanely expensive for what they are. o_O For them to essentially be able to sell it for 25% of RRP? They likely STILL make money off of you, to boot!

      • +4

Might get myself 4 of these bar stools. Pretty cheap at $678 each (reduced from $1,130).

With my Amex credit, it won't cost me $2,712… It'll only be $2,462!

        • +6

Pfft if you were a REAL Ozbargainer, you'd have four eligible cards, meaning it'd only be $1712!

        • +1

I see your bar stools and raise you these Metropolitan Sled Base in BETA Leather Chairs down to $878 from a $2,010. How could you not consider that a bargain? Buy four and you can have 3 other people around for dinner and have them marvel at your BETA leather chairs from the distance.

$3512 which saves you $4528 but wait, there's more, another cool $1,000 off from Amex's statement credit bringing your total cost down to $2512… that's FOUR chairs for the price of 1.25 chairs!

        • +1

@thushan:hold off on those Metropolitan Sled Base in BETA Leather Chairs. I heard they are releasing VHS leather chairs shortly.

  • +2

LOL. this is my favorite. http://www.spacefurniture.com.au/gnomes.html
What a bargain!! And it's made out of plastic so it won't even rust!! I will have to get the set at these prices :)

    • Out of stock :|

      • +1

Only Attila is out of stock, got told there's still plenty of Napoleon available.

    • LMAO this place is a friggin joke

  • +1

    how did this company survive???
looking at their prices, they shouldn't survive for that long. But it is, so I guess there is still too many rich people in Australia who doesn't give a damn on how their money is spent, they just want to buy their stuff from a high class furniture shop.

  • soo pricey … table lamp cost about $500++ to $1000++…

  • +5

    Tell 'em they are dreamin'.

  • I was looking for a bargain, but damn, everything is so expensive, even with $10k cashback, I won't purchase this shelf:
    http://www.spacefurniture.com.au/shelf-x.html

And who in hell would buy this bedside desk for $6.5k, and why would it be that expensive? Is it because it's smoked?

    http://www.spacefurniture.com.au/amphora-smoked-oak.html

    • +2

Plastic gnomes for $300+, desks for $6.5K, they're smoking something alright!

      • +2

Out of stock now sorry, i bought 4 because i thought they'd be cute voss bottle holders for my pooches bathtime.

And for the poor people that don't think it's worth it too spend this much on gnomes, well your poor so who cares, go back overseas with the rest of your starving 3rd world familys!
        Gezus chrrrist!

        • Keep dreaming mate. If it's you who bought it, you wouldn't be here on ozbargain.

        • @lovepub: sarcasm was lost on you it seems..

    Got myself a pot http://www.spacefurniture.com.au/vas-one-medium-pot.html

In all seriousness they do have some nice designer furniture. This ain't no Matt Blatt crap.

    • +2

      Got myself some nice pot.
      Cost $65 for 1/4 ounce

  • +1

This is the real deal. Some of these brands are original founders of real design. Not for everyone - but most of you rather spend $100+ on batteries and memory. At least some of the products will last longer than a few years after your death. Thanks OP.

    • +1

At least some of the products will last longer than a few years after your death.

Justifiable after death when your inheritance is tied up in a stuffed duck book holder made from real fairy dust while your grandchildren beg on the streets in winter

      • +2

Like i said not for everyone, if you like stuffed duck book holders made from fairy dust, i guess your grand children have a chance to fly to Neverland if they realise what its made of.

        • -1

          Neverland

I'm privileged too, I hit 200 golf balls into the ocean for $30 because I was bord.

        • @ozy:

          Neverland You missed my point.

        • @hueylui: MJ snorted better fairy dust than peter did off tinker bell

  • I guess it must be stated or specified Platinum AMEX (charge cards NOT credit cards).

On 2 plat reserve and 2 plat velocity, the offer was not available on any of the accounts.

  • -3

I'm surprised that no one negged this deal because it fails the "where is the bargain" test.

    • +3

Why does it fail the 'wheres the bargain' test? That's like asking someone to neg a Bose or B&O sound system, when you can buy a cheap imitation for a tenth of the price.

Space furniture stocks some of the most iconic designs in the world. Yes, I agree it's ridiculous to buy a $1500 pot, but the furniture brands they stock I am familiar with (b b Italia, accademia, maxalto etc) are top quality, and those pieces will last a lifetime - both in terms of quality and design. Better to buy a couch that lasts 40 years, than buy a cheap sale one from Freedom or Domayne every 3-5 years.

      • This is highly questionable nowadays where fast fashion is everywhere, buy at low cost and bin it next year is a fashionable thing.

        • don't confuse fashion with design:

there's nothing questionable about having quality products that don't need to be replaced as often and so are better for the environment

          :)

      • -1

It doesn't matter if it's going to last a lifetime or not, we're talking about the bargain here, who would buy a book rack for $16k or bedside desk for $6.5k with $250 cashback? I imagine that $250 (which probably will barely cover the shipping & handling cost) won't make any differences to those peoples who bought stuff from this store.

In fact, if I can afford them, I wouldn't be reading or replying to this post in the first place :p

        • You're not wrong, $300 to deliver couple of big-ish items just over 25km from their warehouse.
