561

Update: Pricing error seems to have been fixed.

Update: Confirmed available at Coorparoo, QLD, Eastgarden, NSW & Waterloo, NSW so will assume that this applies nationwide.

Saw these at Coles, Coorparoo Qld. Marked with a Price Cut Tag - Was $29.99 now $5.45 save $24.54. There was about a dozen left on the shelf.

Not sure if these are available at other stores or if these are any good, spindle says made in India. But for 10.9c per disc, who cares!

I would also guess that you had a chicken that you stuffed, tied it up with the twine and put it in the oven bags :)

  • How are you going to prepare the chips ? Oven bags ? ;)

Note to self: blank out other purchases next time.

And yes, I am stuffing a chicken. Lol.

I just went to Coles in eastgarden, NSW. Yes, 5.45 for 50 packs spindle. 15.99 for 25 spindle.

    • Thanks for checking!

Just picked up some spindles @ Waterloo, NSW! amazing! original price 29.99! Thanks for this!!

  • i got 1 too, and do not understand why 25disc is more expensive than 50. also this is DVDR and its cheaper than CDR (same brand, same quality)

  • I'm going to assume that this is a pricing error and they were supposed to be $25.45 or something. Better get in quick! :-)

  • Confirmed at Sutherland NSW.
    Picked two packs.

  • Any in WA??

  • I saw some in Mirrabooka, Perth there was only 2 left and I bought both of them so i assume that other
places would have them too :)

    • If you return them could you advice me i wants to purchase them

  • Confirmed in-stock @ Coles New Town TAS. Picked up 4 packs, still a few left.
With Coles gift card @ 5% off + Coles rewards card @ 1%, total price was as $5.13 per pack.

  • saw a few spindles left at mt ommaney. the price for a 50x spindle was $24.54 saving $5.45 so i guess other stores may have gotten it mixed up. Didnt want to risk the embarrassment so i didnt take it to the registers.

    • Well what you do is you just take all your groceries and the spindle to the register, and when the price scans and displays on the screen you can tell them you changed your mind…

      • lol i wasnt grocery shopping and it was quite packed. So yeah, didnt want to wait inline for 5-10 mins to walk out empty handed. Anyways, to the guys who have bought it, did the marked price say $24.54 or $5.45?

        • From my OP, said $5.45, save $24.54 :D No way I would take Kodak media to the register at $24.54 ;D

          • @dom: lol yeah, the coles i went to was the total opposite hence why i just walked away.

    • I agree with inherentchoice on this.

I say stop being such a wuss. The Coles I went to had about 15-20 of the spindles but no price tag saying what price they were. Without a single thought about 'being embarrassed' I grabbed one and walked to the check out chic and asked her how much it was. Scanned at $5.45, so said "I'll be back!" and went and got a second one and a bag of Hash Browns for $2 bucks!

Big deal if you ask a supermarket worker how much something is, jeez! How dare you!

EDIT: And I think you'll find the majority of super markets have service desks which you can approach to ask for the price of something. Generally they have registers built in they can use to scan an item for you. You can avoid lining up for 5 minutes just to ask for the price of something this way.

wow no need to get emotional, if i dont feel like bringing an item that was CLEARLY marked $24.54 and hoping it would scan up $5.45 then thats my problem. I was just stating that coles clearly made a mistake in their prices. If there were no marked price then i would also take no 2nd thought of bringing it to the counter as thats what you would normally do :p

      • No harsh feelings, just saying, it ain't no thang! :P

  • nice work dom, can u get me an employee discount also with that one?

  • If there is any Coles in Queensland that tries to sell it for a different price, doesn't that mean they're breaking their own promise of consistent prices from Coolangatta to Cairns?

  • Just went to Coles Brighton, NSW (9.08am on Friday 7th May)and it scanned as $23.95 ! promptly put back on the self. Waste of trip :(

    • me too here, Coles Oaklands Park, SA. :(

      • Same price at Coles Forest Hill (VIC). No deal there :-(

50 positive votes for a 50 pack! No one else vote please :)

  • Went to Coles Bendigo today. Price tag showed $5.45. Scanned at $23.99. Told them tags showed 5.45 and they honoured the price. Grabbed the last two spindles.

    • nice work, thanks for sharing!

    • If the price scanned wrongly, they were supposed to give the item to you for free. :)

      • i think thats only if you pay for the item….

        • No I think the first item is meant to be free and any subsequent items at the correct price. This applies even if you have not paid but it has been scanned and is the wrong price.

          • @constipated: Yeah, that's right. I only found out cos it happened to me once and the cashier was nice enough to point out their policy to me.

  • excellent deal :D

I just bought two down at Wallsend Coles. It scanned up as $23.98, although I told them that the price on the shelf was $5.45 and they gave the first one to me at that price and the second absolutley free :D.

    • They still had the wrong price tag on the shelf?! Pretty slack of them. Lucky you ;-)
