  • A bit of dumb question, is it only within premise security system or does it have outside buzzer as well?

    • I think it's internal sensors, door sensor not external buzzer. It takes sim card so can also be managed through mobile app as well.

    • It has an optional external siren box which you can buy

  • I've been using this system for months now..
it's been quite good, it hasn't given me any problem yet.

the external siren box is a bit expensive (around $180) and hard to get though.

    • So that means this has not alarm? is the main unit able to made noisy to alert people?

Yes the main unit have siren.
Not the loudest out there but it's quite loud.
However if your home is fairly big, you might want to invest in an external siren box

        • Living in an unit should be good.

  • I have some accessories I'm selling for this system; panic button, extra keypad and outdoor siren box (all unused, located in QLD). PM for details.

The "brains" of the alarm are inside the control panel, mounted in a convenient/easily accessible location near your front door ?

I dont have any experience with this exact model, but these types of units can often be quickly (a few seconds) bypassed by unclipping (or smashing) off the front panel, and ripping out the 12v UPS battery and mains power wires.

If you have a 30 second countdown (to enter PIN) after motion, that is plenty of time for an intruder to disable the alarm panel. Most have a simple "case open" sensor that will make the siren go off, but once off the alarm can be silenced in around 3 seconds.

Many professional alarms will have a central control unit hidden away in the top of a cupboard or inside a wall cavity etc, so the number keypad is just a dumb keypad and damaging it wont render the alarm silent.

Like I said, I have not looked into this model in detail, but something to keep in mind. This seems like a good price for a basic alarm tho if you just want it as a deterrent.

For this one, it is recommended that the main unit to be hidden though..
It's said so in the manual

Anyway in the back of the main panel there's a tamper sensor, and the off switch is inside of the unit which is protected with a screw (or two, not exactly remember).

What's in the bonus accessory pack?

    Edit

Looks like the bonus is the panic button and additional pir sensor.

    Rrp is $499 apparently.

This doesn't seem much better than the Arlec system from bunnings, but it does have mobile connectivity.

Does it need an electrician to install? I know it's wireless 😐
