Best Value Bargain PS4 Console Deals (500GB/1TB)

Hi everyone, i've been looking around for the best value PS4 since the BIG W toy sale. So far the best deal i've found is from EB Games PS4 1TB Uncharted 4 Limited Edition at $548 with 4 games and 6 months of Presto FREE. - https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-800786-1TB-PlayStation-4-Limited-…

BIG W is the one that offers cheapest console at $379 (500GB). But compare to the EB Games bundle they are not as cheap in value. No games, only free 3 months of Stan. - https://www.bigw.com.au/product/sony-playstation-4-500gb-con…

    If you really want all those games, then yeah the EB games deal is fine, I would personally buy the ps4 on BIG W and just get Uncharted 4 ($49) from Target.

    I grabbed a second hand one a month ago super cheap. Imo if you don't mind taking a risk on warranty (I've heard ps4s are pretty reliable) that is your best bet

        FWIW I trawled around Gumtree for a few weeks looking for super cheap PS4s but they were all way overpriced especially for 2nd hand with crappy games I don't want, and none of them would budge on the price.
        I ended up getting the $399 Uncharted 4 bundle (1tb) from JB Hifi a couple of weeks back, wayyy better value than anything on Gumtree near me.

          Out of interest what is a fair price on Gumtree, I've hardly used my white 500gb PS4 in months so was thinking of putting it on Gumtree, one controller, eye camera, and about 7 games for $150 - $200 or is that too high?

          @Japius: That sounds like it would be a great price.
          Most of the listings I saw were for used 500gb consoles, for around $400, which was basically how much a new 1tb console cost.

        Gumtree. I'm also a member of a couple of local gaming swap, buy and sell groups on Facebook that often have cheap games and systems

    3 months of Stan is greater than 6 months of Presto.
    However i wouldn't use them in comparison for value in which bundle to get.

      yea true. but i was thinking because of the limited edition 1tb + games. so it's quite worth it.

      by the way, is Presto really suck?

        presto catalogue is pretty slim, worse though is the slow user interface and application support (at least for my samsung tv).
        there have been a few deals around where presto has been available for 6 mths for free, so you can easily test it for yourself.

      Yep, free trials of both are frequently given out and so aren't worth much. I wouldn't factor them in to a console purchase.

    Here was what I did couple of weeks ago, got my PS4 for $300:

    .Signed up for Commbank Low Rate Credit Card
    .Used that new credit card to buy the PS4 Uncharted Ltd/Doom bundle with games for $550 (when it first came out) from JB Hifi
    .Told the guy at JB to switch Doom for Bloodborne.
    .Waited for $250 cash back
    .Switched to Low Fee card after receiving the cash back and confirming no annual fee with Commbank.

    Does EB allow you to switch out games? I'm very tempted by the 4 game deal but I know I wouldn't play GTA V (I have it on PC) and I wouldn't mind switching out AC Syndicate either.

    EB have a new 1tb bundle listed on their website for $578.

    a JB staff told me they'll put the 1TB PS4 on sale for $419 soon, though i have no idea when possibly next week

    If you are after a cheaper PS4 Target has a PS4 for $359 while Big W has one for $349 you can price match for target and if you have flybuy points you can use them to get it cheaper. I currently got ~$49 on my flybuys so im basically getting the 500GB PS4 for $300. I know its 500gb but would you seriously need 1TB. Also aware that no games come with it but you can get some pretty recent games from EB games for under $40 so its a win. :) happy hunting

      In all honestly I thought the same thing when purchasing a 500GB console thinking I won't need 1TB but honestly I wish I purchased a 1TB instead. Even if you don't play a lot of games you will use the 500GB very quickly as some games updates are HUGE. For example WWE 2K16 used up 50GB on my hard drive and it was a game I purchased with a disk. Also if you plan on getting PS Plus you'll be downloading some games that are huge (ie NBA 2K16).

    My son has suddenly decided that he'd like his own PS4 for Christmas. Have missed out on so many deals over the last few weeks. So looking for a 1TB with physical games bundle

    So what's out there? I've seen the JB offer at $399, but games are both codes, as I've found with my Xbox one, as we've got slow internet games take ages to load and use heaps of data.
