I second this. Still stuck with 2 x $100 vouchers as the events I want don't accept vouchers. Having troubles getting refunds.
What is stupid with ticketmaster is most of the tickets listed then redirect to some third party site which you can't pay with a gift card
I'd love to see the ACC crackdown on this gift card rorting. Gift cards should be considered essentially the same as cash, there should not be products that are ineligible for gift card use. This doesn't just go for ticketmaster, RedBalloon come to mind and I'm sure there are many others.

@droodle: No they don't - Ticketek handle all Rod Laver Arena events - the only Australian Open tickets you can get from Ticketmaster are the TM resale tickets (at inflated prices). Gift voucher would not apply for these

If there is a Voucher redeem option available on the payment section, then it is allowed. Otherwise, no.

Note: TM Resale is not the same as 'Ticketmaster'. Not all events on TM Resale are Ticketmaster events. Guessing thats why the gift card can not be used for some.

i did see in the T&Cs it can take up to 3 days for e-giftcards to activate so i think we might just have to wait
I ordered this morning and was hoping to get them today for an event tonight, looks like a no go. Looking at the previous threads on this deal, they send them out only during the week.
they do send them on the weekend. i got mine today. BUT they send it 3 days after your order.
depending on how much your spending and your level of botheredness, the WW "spend $100 get $10" works on 3rd party gift cards. so you can buy some cards from WW for tonight if you want. split your $100 transactions for best value. e.g. buy $100 card, get $10. start a new, separate transaction buy $100 card, it applies the $10 bonus (so net cost is $90) and still gives you another $10. repeat :)
i got 300 bucks worth for $240 if you want .. meant to get ticketek lastime and bought ticketmaster instead .. doh
