Masters Online Order Pick Up Issue

I placed an order midday yesterday. After 24 hours i still haven't received any message or email from them for pick up. So I contacted their online rep. She told me it should be ready in 24 hours. She tried to contact the store, but failed. So she suggested me to ring the store directly. Man…. it has never been answered! So just now, I rang Masters general customer service. This girl was probably tired, impatiently told me the order will be ready in 1 Business day, which means next Monday.

It's my first time to do shopping with Masters, is it true that they need 1 "working day" to get the order ready rather than 24 hours?

I have ordered through masters click and collect 4 times now with no issues. They only take a couple of hours normally so not sure why you are being told to wait a day! I would call again.

  • Ive placed 10 orders with only 2 actually being received.
Got told on thursday by the online chat people that an item would definitely be ready by friday after they called the store.. Asked them today what happened as i didnt hear anything on friday and they told me the items out of stock and they cant get any.
    Good luck haha

Don't start me….. they couldn't even find mine when I went to pick the order up.

No wonder they are going broke!

The only upside was that my 5 rolls of weed mat, were upgraded to the whizz bang professional variety. Basically I ended up get$119 of weed mat for $10…. I'm happy to be stuffed around for that type of upgrade.

  • I had similar issues last week. They told me at the store it usually takes 45 mins for them to receive the order but if you're a new customer (new account) it will take longer because it goes through security screening process

  • My C & C order took 1 week before I got the email saying its ready and the online order has now been 9 days and still says being picked (Adelaide Store)

  • Every time I order rather than have it ready for collection the staff have to go find it on the shelves.
I could find it faster than them most the time…

  • what do you guys think if i just drive to the store (15km from my place) and ask them to pick up the order for me while i wait there? or i make a new purchase in the store and cancel my online order?

15kms is nothing. You're better off getting it off the shelf yourself and cancelling the online order.
Make sure they have the stock before you go.

Drive to store, get off shelf, show online order receipt at info desk.

    • My experience: able to do that only if order has entered the store system. See my comment

I think it is not you, Masters do alots of sale and dot have enough stocks, placing order online is a risk as they normally pick the order at their own place, therefore they wont care about if the later they pick the chance if Out Of Stock get higher.

I would suggest if you do not care about addition 2% cash rewards you better go into the store when the advertise first come up as online order is also completing with the people who stop online, the stock is for everyone until it get picked.

Do what I did, especially for hot sales. Order online, pick off shelf yourself and you still get the online benefits.

I have seen masters staff pick hot items first off in the morning for pickups but can still miss out due to the eBay brigade that bulk buy at 7am.

      • Last week, I did not get the confirmation in the usual timeframes. So I went down to Masters, and enquired about the order. I asked if I could just pick out the order myself. The manager said that provided the order had entered their store system, I would not be able to do that. Fortunately for me, the order had entered the store system.

So, your approach works, but one has to wait for the order to enter the store system. Not sure how long this is.

  • I've had so many issues trying to buy stuff at Masters. The one time I've placed an order, i've had confirmation it was ready and headed down there after work to pick it up, and they had no idea what I was talking about, and hurriedly ran around and picked the order there and then.

  • For a business that's open 7 days a week, isn't 1 working day and 24hrs the same thing?

    • its what i thought. but the woman on the phone line didnt think so. anyway i may drive there tomorrow or tuesday.

  • Hey be patient. Woolies getting rid of Masters, lots of staff left for new job means there are staff shortage. High work load, low morale, it's quite gloomy working there so don't expect too much. Best is buy in store.
