Where to Get Good, Cheap USB-C Cables?

I picked up a Nexus 5X a little while ago (great phone btw), and have been struggling a bit with only having the one USB type-C that came with it. My typical reaction to this would be to jump on ebay and buy a few cheap cables. However I've heard that many of the cheaper cables around, particularly ones that aren't type c to type c, are capable of destroying your device. I'm after a type-a to type-c cable or adaptor, and also a type c to micro usb.

So, does anyone know where to get some good, reliable cables at a decent price?

Thanks.

  • I'm also chasing a decent USB-C cable.

Bought a Volans external HDD docking station & would like a longer cable as the one it came with is too short. Tried one already off Ebay without any luck…..wasn't that cheap either

  • The Belkin ones are compliant.

    • Good, yes; cheap, not so much!

  • I bought some type c adapter to micro USB. So far everything good. They are really cheap.

There's some google engineer (or something) that has a blog where he lists compliant and non-compliant USB Type C cables because he was sick of all the non-compliant (or fake) cables out there.

Forget the name but Googling should find it.

  • I just ordered a couple of these for my 5x http://m.banggood.com/BlitzWolf-2_4A-USB-Type-C-Reversible-B…

  • If you look on Aliexpress for the following brands i think you should be ok: Ugreen, Blitzwolf, Aukey etc..

Very cheap but the downside is you will wait up to 4 weeks sometimes longer for it to be delivered to your door step.
