  • I think you can see them all year round - at sunset or later.

You can always call their customer service centre, but yes, this happens daily. When we go there, they say they can't promise how many shows up, it cam be as few as dozens or as many as hundreds, depends. The thing is at this season, on the shores after sunset with the breeze going it's going to be FREEZING.

No need go to Phillips island! St Kilda is enough. How come people don't know?

    • Oh wow, never knew this. Gotta go and check this out!

    • Not sure how much you can see now.
Someone vandalised the area… they've probably put in some extra protection.

    • never knew.

What time do you reckon the penguins come out during this season?

If you go, you may have to wait 1-2 hours to them to come out! Be prepared to be cold

Pretty much anything you do now you need to be prepared to be cold. Weather is cold. Food is cold in 2 mins.

Wear warm clothing, headgear and gloves, take binoculars and be prepared to wait.
