SUMMERFUN

UPDATED with new code for another week.
Note USD and taxes are added at payment stage.

Promo code: SUMMERFUN
Minimum stay: none
Book by July 10, 2016, travel by December 31, 2016

Subject to the restrictions set out in these terms and conditions, the 18% promotion code may be applied to a qualifying stand-alone hotel (not a hotel booking in combination with any other product such as flight + hotel, or flight +hotel + car) booked online with cheaptickets.com between July 5, 2016 12:01AM CT and July 10, 2016 11:59PM CT, for 1 or more nights for travel between July 5, 2016, and December 31, 2016. Qualifying bookings instantly receive 18% off at check-out through the use of the promotion code. Limit one discount per hotel room and one promotion code per itinerary. Exclusions may apply and most major hotel chains are excluded. The promotion code cannot be redeemed against taxes, supplier fees, cancellation or change fees/penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges, which are the sole responsibility of the customer. Discounts are not redeemable for cash for any reason. Promotion codes are non-transferable, not for resale, and cannot be combined with other offers or used for any booking previously made. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Cheaptickets reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion. Usual booking terms and conditions apply (see https://www.cheaptickets.com/p/info-other/legal.htm) and all bookings are subject to availability.

  • When i saw the last deal, it was actually clearer to use the Venere website with the app code in AUD so there are no nasty suprises with exchange rates and fees.

Are you going to repost this every seven days when the code is updated?

As others point out, it's not really worth it given the exchange rate - and none of the big chains are eligible for the code.

Check out wotif.com + 8% Cash Rewards and see if you can't get a better overall figure (in AUD too).

    • I've posted other deals too. It's not my fault this one resets weekly. If it's preferred that I just go to an old deal and change the code and reset the end date then I will do that. The problem is that the % off often changes as well from 16-20%.

It's also not true that it's not worth it due to exchange rate. Do your maths and you'll see that it is often the cheapest available.

    • I've used it three times and each time it's been the cheapest available even with the exchange rate. Using a card with no foreign transaction fees of course.

    • I saved a lot on a recent Hyatt booking through one of these codes. At least 10% cheaper than anywhere else.

  • I appreciate these codes!
If you're not going to update this every week (which i love) then please let us know where these codes are released!

Still worth it, this is on-par with the cheapest for international hotel stays bar one off real specials like that Accor 40% off etc.

Yeah, I'm waiting for another one of these. The Accor deal was awesome!

    Keep posting these please.

I scoured hotel sites for a few stays this year and the 18% codes came in cheaper a lot even with USD.
    I appreciate the updates.

So after doing all my research over the weekend for our weekend getaway in October I sit down to book it and think to myself "I'll just have a last check of ozbargain". Find this post and save $140. Thanks heaps uder.

I agree. I compared heaps of sites and even with cashback offers on other sites, using this coupon has saved me a good $150, even after adjusting for USD conversion.

  • Anyone have any idea when these codes will start to stretch into next years travels? Got a month to book Jan-Feb 17.

    • I'm keeping an eye out mate. Will post as soon as I find one, hopefully soon!

      • Cheers mate, will keep checking.

        • When I compared a couple of Hotels using CheapTickets Code, vs CashRewards cashback with Hotels.com rebate (1 free night after 10) I found that prices worked out about the same. And no time limit on Hotels.com. May not be the case for all hotels though.

        • @peck:

Don't know if I can use CR being NZ based though, that's the problem. We have no decent cashback programs here.

Just cancelled my booking and booked here - saved $230 (even after factoring in Expedia cashback).. Very happy!! Thanks uder!!

I almost ignored this deal, but you really just saved me $100 on a short holiday that I was going to book anyway! THANKS! :D

  • Tried to book multiple times and there's nowhere to input the code.
Even went right through the payment stage with no field for it and had to cancel the booking.
NOTE: as this is a USA site, it adds 10% for GST in the payment stage of booking.
OP you need to put that in the details of the offer so people know about it.

    • The field only appears if the hotel is an eligible one.

The taxes are visible when you apply the code and before you click pay. I will add it in the deal description.

      • Thanks for the quick reply.
It's a pity there's no indication (that I could see) of the hotels eligibility for the offer before you go through the motions of selection and get to payment details.
I'll see what else I can find as the prices are attractive.

I tried booking through Orbitz (same group) with a 15% discount coupon for a hotel in Port Douglas and it didn't accept the coupon during payment. Then I decided to search OZBargain, found this sister website, IT WORKED and it was even cheaper! I just saved $45 in comparison to all websites. Thanks a lot OP!

I tried using this site and ended up with a booking for Novotel Brisbane that I had to cancel as there was no indication (until too late) that I'd be paying the full rate - no discount.
Screwed around with various sites that quote USD price knowing you're from Aus. Then they do the USD/AUD conversion & add 10% GST at the payment stage…phhht stuff that con.
Accor had sent me a promo email and sure as sheet, I booked Sebel Brisbane king room for 60% of the Novotel std. room cost with these guys.
Better hotel, vastly cheaper and in AUD. Also gives me Accor points, free breakfast (pity they will have checked out b4 brekkie) and Wi-Fi.
Wife & daughter very happy - happy wife = happy life.

      • Didn't get an email from Accor. What did you need to do? Just log in with your membership number?

        • yes that should do it and then just search for the accom. you need
