The following XBOX ONE 1TB consoles will be $299 at Target starting Wednesday 29th June. Whilst stocks last:

Will be available in store as well as online. Consoles will scan @ $299 in the morning even if they aren't marked/ticketed at the new price.

Online store is probably going to be your best bet…

Don't forget to get Halo 5 for $29 (it was worth a shot…)!

          D'oh. It's the one aspect of mine that I really love. I've gotten used to playing third party titles on my Xbone over everything else (in lower visual quality) because I prefer how quiet it is.

      Games that I've played and liked.

      Sunset Overdrive - Open world, colorful, lots of fun. Jet Set radio like mobility.
      Quantum Break - Lots of story with real actors, fun gameplay mechanics
      Forza Horizon 2 - Open world racer, more arcade than realistic, fun even if you dont like racing games
      Forza 6 - Way more realistic racing sim
      Dead Rising 3 - Open world, zombies, crazy weapons
      Rare Replay - Bunch of old awesome games. Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata, Perfect Dark etc
      Ori and the blind forest - Metroidvania style 2d platformer. Incredible visuals and soundtrack. My favorite game of 2015.

      Games coming soon that look good.

      Forza Horizon 3 - Based in Australia! Drive down places like the great ocean road
      Recore - Metroid/Zelda type game
      Halo Wars 2 - RTS halo game
      Dead Rising 4 - Another one, looks to be based in the mall where DR1 was + lots of outside area like DR3
      Scalebound - Made by Platinum, open world, crazy dragon fighting
      Sea of Thieves - Made by rare, multiplayer pirate game

      Backwards compatibility is also awesome, the games available for it are being added to weekly almost.

        Good post Scruff. Backwards compatibility is one of my favourite features on the system. I've put in a tonne of time into Deus Ex HR and The Witcher 2 on my Xbone. Having locked v-sync now on all Xbox 360 titles is a massive improvement too (screen tearing is a pet hate of mine). I just wish that Microsoft had a faster release schedule for backwards compatible titles.

        So as i have a xbox one got it end of last year and yes only just set it up couple of months back this 360 games compatability how does this work?
        Do you just stick game in and done or more involved to it?
        And what games all or just some as still own my xbox360 and a good few games so be good to be able to use them too.

          If its a compatible title (http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-one/backward-compatibility , new games are being added constantly), chuck the disc in and it will download an 'update' (just downloads the whole game, still need to have the disc in tho) then play.
          If you have the 360 game digitally, it will show up in your download list and then you just downlaod it from there.

          Curb your enthusiasm, it's got <10% of 360 titles that are compatible with backwards combat. Though the list is growing.

          You shove disc in and it'll prompt you to download the game. Keep disc in to play.

      There is no graphics upgrade with the Xbox One S. It's the same GPU and CPU inside.

    These things are cheap as chips.

    Had MS not said anything about their two new upcoming consoles, I would have pulled the trigger.

    That's why price drops and new models usually don't get announced until they're reading to hit store shelves.

    Having not done my homework and finding out what consoles are coming out sort of regret now have purchased the xbox one bundle from jb hifi end of last year.
    As sat in its box till just a few months back and cost me around $480 or there about.
    Could have saved heaps if i knew about newer one coming out.
    Would not mind a ps4 though at a cheap price.

    I thought the Titanfall & Fifa 15 bundles from Big W for $200 was a good price last year. :/

    Is the additional $100 for the extra 500 GB and Holiday bundle games worth it? (I am genuinely asking and not starting a fanboy war).

    Just another question: Aside from the XB1S being smaller and having internal PSU compared to the XB1, is it still the same hardware under the hood (for the XB1S)?

      AFAIK, the Xbox One S will be slightly more powerful to accommodate HDR gaming. Maybe a slight boost in CPU and/or GPU clock speed or something I'm guessing.

      Nope, same hardware other than slightly different chipset to allow 4K video viewing in media centre mode. Wont be any improvements at all to actual gaming.

          Unfortunately your confused between the Xbox One S (what we are talking about here) and a theorised future Xbone revision yet to be announced.

          There's absolutely nothing detailed about the Xbox One S that will lead to any improvement in gaming resolution or FPS.

    PS: Was just watching a comparison video of Xbox One & 360 on YouTube and the 360 looks more crisp than One. Decisions, damn!

          Yes I have been stocking the page since after midnight, and early this am. It must have just flipped when I purchased it. Someone purchased one before me so they likely also did some stocking.

          Yeah, I was aware the two consoles being available on their site, but wanted to buy The Division bundle from their eBay store and get the $50 voucher from eBay. They didn't change the price on their eBay page for most of the morning. Now that I was away for awhile I missed out. :x

I knew when majority of OzBargainers wake up it would be a matter of minutes before it would get OzBargained. For me, I thought to wait for the next model (rumor has it it has 4K capabilities and such), but I would have bought it if they ran the same price on their eBay store and then get the $50 voucher from eBay. Looks like they only sold few units on eBay before it got sold out (unless they removed them from their eBay store or something).

    Hmm, $120 in fly buys dollars and a $50 coles myer gift card have both been burning a hole in my pocket for some time waiting for a good gaming deal from Target, is now the time to pull the trigger? Only going to cost me $129 … seems a no brainer, especially for the kids on school holidays. Though will need a couple of other games.

    The old Wii is getting a bit tired.

      TV makes no difference.

      The Sony phone means you can remote play PS4 (though the APK can be sideloaded on any Android phone).

      If you want to play Gears of War, (if you're lucky) you can get Gears/Rare Replay combo "pre-owned new" at EB Games for $34.

      Got one with the code for civilian Anya character for multi-player and Gears stickers.

      Checked both discs at the counter before purchasing and seem good as "new".

    Went to target who had no copies left at lunch time (Brisbane - Myer Centre) but EB Games had plenty on offer. Guy there offered the A$328 Xbox One 1tb with Halo 5 but download token for the division instead of Gears of war / Rare Replay which seemed like much better deal to me.

      I said I wasn't going to get one, and I saw it back up on ebay before I noted your post and grabbed one about 20 minutes ago - jeepers!

      There's something I was intending to purchase on ebay that costs $60, so by doing this I'll get the $50 coupon and effectively bring this Xbox purchase down to $249. Pretty good deal with Rise of the Tomb Raider (I've played the other on PS3).

      Sheesh - I held out so long and crumbled at the end of a busy work day - walking away with a massive console… Heh.

      Sony didn't announce any new console at all, actually.

      MS has: accounced new Slim model; announced Scorpio; accounced that Xbox is now a service not a platform (if you have good PC, don't bother with Xbone). And on top of all that Xbone is underselling and underperforming PS4.

      That's why these specials.

      Yes, got a shipping email on Wed 29th where the tracking showed started until late last night where it's now showing in transit at Sunshine West. Should be here on Monday, which is what the estimated delivery is showing. I ordered mine just after midnight when the sale started via the mobile app.

    Hmmm so purchased an "Xbox One 1TB Console & Rise Of The Tomb Raider Bundle". Received on Friday, and set up today to realize there is no Tomb Raider game/redemption code. Took a look and it seems that the bundle should come in a special Tomb Raider style box, with the redemption code in the smaller box where the controller/wires are located? I've just got a standard green xbox one 1tb box.

    Suppose i'll have to call up on Monday and hope they can just send copies of the two games, otherwise wipe and return the console hoping they have stock of the correct item.
