Tech Drawing Ruler - Where to Buy the Old School Ones?

When I finished school (in the 90's) I'd been using a ruler in tech drawing that was really flexible (It could bend so that the ends would touch) and the measurements started straight from the edge.

Does anyone know where to buy them? I've looked in Kmart & Office Works.

Thanks.

  • Try http://www.deansart.com.au/www/715/1001127/search.asp?frombo… ? The rulers I remember from my school days were the 3-edged metal ones or solid flat scale rulers. I'm a lot older than you though.

  • If you're looking for a very flexible and bendable plastic ruler, Officeworks definitely has them. However, being plastic, I doubt that the measurements start at the end, and I can't see them being accurate enough for technical drawing, so I have to assume that I'm not understanding what you're asking for.

  • In my tech drawing days this was the one to have, along with a clutch pencil, but unfortunately we were too poor.😞

  • eBay is a good source of ideas. Also there are tons of school supply forums all over the net. You probably could find just the right one.
